A son trying to save his mother with cancer, torn between two fathers. One by blood, one by influence.
In a town that teaches him how to survive. The film sets its stakes in the first pages: a mother fighting to hold dignity through illness and faith, a son shouldering a home too big for his age, and a corrupt church that promises light while preaching the pain required to reach it.
What does it cost to keep the people you love alive?

I’m a Los Angeles based filmmaker, originally from Indianapolis, Indiana. Over the years I’ve directed more than 600 projects. Music videos, commercials, documentaries, and fashion films and I’ve been fortunate to collaborate with people and brands like Pharrell Williams, Vogue, Karl Lagerfeld, Nike, Adidas, Dolce & Gabbana, A$AP Rocky, and Snoop Dogg.
But for me, it’s never been just about the credits. I believe film is about human connection. I love creating environments where actors can shine, where the truth comes through on screen, and where authentic relationships turn into unforgettable performances.
Filmmakers like Spike Lee, Sidney Poitier, and Denis Villeneuve paved paths that inspire me every day. As a Black director, I carry the weight and pride of the trailblazers who came before me and I’m determined to add my voice to that tradition of groundbreaking storytelling.
For me, film isn’t a career choice or a job. It’s who I am. It’s in my DNA. It’s the way I make sense of the world, and the way I hope to give something lasting back to it.
