A place to honor those we've lost, to connect with our ancestors, and to reflect on the natural cycles of life, death, and renewal. A place to spark new ideas, projects, and passions.
That place exists.
This year’s Temple of the Deep is born from a journey through raw emotion—from nothingness to creation, from submerged grief to buoyant healing, from heartbreak to wholeness, from solitude to shared connection. Built by the people, for the people, it stands as a testament to art and humanity in all its diverse beauty.

Design & Vision
The Temple is the heart of Burning Man — a space for stillness, reflection, and release. Temple of the Deep, designed by Spanish artist and architect Miguel Arraiz Garcia, is deeply connected to black rock itself, drawing inspiration from a fractured rock — an opening to vulnerability, loss, and transformation.
The theme “Deep” invites us to turn inward — to explore the layers of our emotions, memories, and personal journeys. The Temple will serve as a threshold for individual and collective healing, culminating in its ceremonial burn as a powerful act of release.
We invite you to join us on this journey. Your support helps fund the materials, transportation, and the incredible team of builders and volunteers bringing this vision to life — before it returns to dust in the temple burn.

How You Can Help
Unlike The Man and other iconic Burning Man structures, the Temple is almost entirely funded by us - the community. While Burning Man provides a grant, it covers only a portion of the total cost. Building the Temple takes significant funding — and it’s up to all of us to make it happen.
Every contribution, no matter the size, directly supports:
- Sustainable materials and structural elements
- Transport and on-playa construction
- Safety and environmental planning
- Lighting and power infrastructure
- Support for the artists, engineers, and volunteers making it happen

We are honored to offer a limited edition of 25 high-quality prints of an original artwork by Spanish-American artist Alexandra Roca @art.alexandraroca, created exclusively in support of this year’s Temple.
This powerful piece is inspired by The Temple of the Deep, reflecting themes of wounds, memory, and healing. Through her signature technique of painting with gunpowder, smoke and fire, Alexandra channels a transformative energy—capturing the rawness of pain and the beauty of release. She works with various types of raw gunpowder, which she ignites on canvas to unleash the alchemy of fire and the untamed power of smoke. Fire becomes her brush, and smoke transforms into her paint.
Each print will be numbered and signed by the artist, available only through this campaign.
