HI! Welcome to our campaign for the MUGSHOTS: SINS OF THE FATHER limited edition Thought Bubble ashcan.
Some of you may have read MUGSHOTS: THE LAST TIME, a crime noir one-shot comic written by me, Jordan Thomas, with art by Chris Matthews, released back in 2020 (and also available as a reward here). The following year Chris and I began work on the follow-up, a much more ambitious story set in the same world that we plan to release as an original graphic novel towards the end of 2023.

MUGSHOTS: SINS OF THE FATHER limited edition Thought Bubble ashcan!
This special book that we intend to have ready for the 2022 Thought Bubble comic convention in Harrogate this November will be printed 240x157mm (slightly smaller than US comic size) on high-quality uncoated paper and contains the 13-page opening of MUGSHOTS: SINS OF THE FATHER as a teaser for the longer OGN, as well as Chris' beautiful character designs for the story, bringing the whole thing to 20 full-colour pages.
STORY.
STORY.We don't want to give too much of the story away as the ashcan itself is a teaser for the longer story so we'd rather leave you some surprises. However, you can expect all the twists and turns, untrustworthy characters, double-crosses and bursts of visceral violence that great noir stories always contain. And of course, it is all delivered in Chris' stunning art style, that every fan of Darwyn Cooke, Sean Phillips and Eduardo Risso will love.

IS THIS SPECIAL?As well as a gripping short story and incredible art, we intend to make this a beautiful little book, printed to the highest standard, with the design and style standing out as something unique in the Burnt Barn Comics catalogue. We will also only be printing 75 copies on top of whatever we sell during this Crowdfundr campaign so it will be a very limited item likely only available here or at this year's Thought Bubble.

COLLECTION AND DELIVERY.
All the art for this ashcan edition is already complete so once we hit our target we can send it off immediately to print so that it is ready in time for Thought Bubble 2022. The book will be available on my table at the convention, so anyone attending can collect their rewards directly from me by selecting the 'free pickup'option (I'll even sign them!) and then the following week we will be posting out rewards to anyone unable to attend the convention.
