In efforts to preserve the Historical Legacy and Portray with Historical Accuracy the largely hidden aspects of the 20th Century's Most Iconic Marriage, we decided to embark as two filmmakers to tell the Untold Story of Joe and Marilyn. What history had obscured. We seek to do it with humor, humanity and Accuracy in ways that Hollywood has never been able to replicate. 

We are two independent Filmmakers ( No ties to Hollywood or anything) Who accidentally realized we could pull off the portrayal of these icons and tell their story with honor and in preservation of their legacy and contributions respectively to history.

Our Film is 100% community backed, in efforts to create real sustained community, preserve legacy and history and portray with accuracy things that other films have not even began to touch regarding these two icons. 

Being a part of such a historical moment (as we come upon Marilyn's 100 birthday this next year) Will also be a key reason to celebrate and honor the legacy of these two figures and the roles they played in each other's lives.  As we seek to present the impossible, with a large cast of key figures, and present the film with accuracy, we need those who align with the goal of accurate portrayal of legacy, not hyped-up Hollywood falsity.

Were looking to ultimately pay MORE actors/(and get them costumes!) along with on-site filming, Producer/Funder/Donor Prizes and Gifts and the whole lot...Basically a Community to join us (Matt and Tali/Joe and Marilyn) In portraying a realistic view of two of the 20th century's most famous individual/heros/husband and wife, and the incredible, really remarkable and unbelievable story of those that ended up becoming intertwined with them as well. 

Additionally we are seeking producers, extras and additional help/ to compensate crew and additional actors (Anything beyond J + M really) , to make the film as complete as possible; while rewarding our backers/producers/donors as much as we can, which the ultimate goal is to make this great for everyone else who wants to be a part of this historical portrayl that has never been fully accurate or complete...until now. 

We seek to do this with the most interesting, historically accurate and entertaining sequences, aiming to utilize the best of our filmmaking capacities with visually imperative vignettes and behind-the-scenes insights. We also are going to try to make you laugh with our spoof comedy vibes (while still being historically relevant), and share the fun faux paux that ultimately reflects the sacredness of this insane reality. 

To do this though, we can't work alone, and to get the correct actors, help, extras, and vision we need *real producers* (that means you, the average person!) who really want to see this grow beyond the seed it is, backing the growth of the whole, and fueling the fun and excitement that Matt and I have worked hard to get started- the seed to a sprout really.

While we plan to start with a lower goal in our first round, we will continue on for additional rounds on-goingly until we can get ideally to where we are trying to go, and we will do things along the way as well to keep the momentum going for you guys. If it takes us a couple years because of the folk-group nature of it, we have accepted that at this point, as we are already deep into this project, on the daily. We also currently have no ties to hollywood...

In return for all of this help- if we are able to reach our goals (and there will be a few!), and even with smaller goals, we can deliver to you the best interesting story given what we are able to do at the time, and hopefully visually engaging/ cinematic result that is possible on our hands.

In this way we seek to contribute to *History (baseball, film, sports, photographic, media, etc History) and the *actual fact regarding both of these massively famous 20th century icons/heros.

In a way this project chose us (this definitely was NOT what our future plans were), and so far, while we have done a lot with the little we have had (taking time off of our meager jobs to film and script write and recruit more actors and extras etc) it has been extremely challenging for us to deliver this historical portrayal in a way that we can do it at our best, (which we know we are capable of, and ultimately have a plan for, which also involves dozens of people in all honesty if not more...).

In fact we could make multiple multi- hour films at this point given the amount of material we have written so far and planned out.

We have a full script, and several of the cast members already cast, more we want to work with, but we still have more cast to find outside of that, along with the time and space coordination needed, and our dream is bigger than just what Matt and I can do alone- essentially.

THE QUESTION IS: Will you be our next producer??? Will you be a 19th Century Raccoon with us?

Will you join us? Every 19 dollars matters at this point, or 190, or 19 thousand dollars, if we want to get down to it.

At this point the sky is the limit for everyone involved.

Matt and I are very clear that this has nothing to do with us at all really, we want this to be a **community celebration, to have fun (We told our selves ultimately this and if we weren't growing and having a good time in our efforts then we would not continue), and to share and portray history. We just happen to be the vessels for it.

So, Please do join us; if the call is there, you will get the energy back, multiplied.

This has already happened for us if you can't tell, the seed is already growing. We've already filmed in Los Angeles, the Pacific Northwest,  Tahoe and Reno, (and hopefully next, NYC, if everything works out). How we could even get the funds to get what we have done this far, was frankly complete luck and pure alignment, but we want to do more for everyone out there ultimately- we want to give back the meaning and energy we have felt from this project, and in its seriousness, the gift of that.

The universe collided to help us even with these tasks, given Matt and I are operating on less than a half of a shoe string literally, but we make the choices and sacrifices even for the shots in the trailer we have to share so far. We just keep plan to keep rolling everything back into what we have been developing... 

And if you don't have nineteen cents, or nineteen dollars, or nineteen thousand dollars, but you still want to be a 19th Century Raccoon with the rest of us, then do share this with your sports historian friends, your film historian friends, Marilyn fans, Joe fans, Hollywood Film history friends, or even just history friends. We guarantee this will be interesting to at least one person you know really. 

At the end of all this we hope to reward our patrons/donors/producers with an absolutely groundbreakingly amazing party (Chateau Marmont? St Regis? Bel Air Hotel anyone?) , and we already have ideas in the mix for surprises regarding that too...
