【August Update: 登山讀書會 Climbing Reading Club】

Figures：5款 figure 已經收到 production sample 並展開生產，唯獨銀婆婆出現技術問題；團隊已經找到解決方案，以維持在8月內收貨。

Book set： 今個月透過出版社接觸了三間本地印廠，其中一間曾表示可以承印，豈料之後突表示改變決定，表示<登山讀書會>內容敏感不願承印。團隊逼於無奈決定放棄在本地印刷，目前正在接觸12間全球各地的印刷商，以儘快展開印刷。

Tote Bag：本地廠商要求移除「香港民主女神團隊 x 阿塗」才願意承印。目前tote bag已經生產中，預計8月內收貨。

關於612停止運作 ：今日(8/18) 612人道支援基金宣布將於今年停止運作。當基金停止運作後，<登山讀書會>會維持原有計劃，繼續將利潤捐予同類機構或寄賣黄店。

團隊明白家家有本難念經，亦無權要求別人冒險，但眼見本地廠商在完全匿名情況下仍然會自我審查，不免感到難過及無奈。

Figures: All five figures are currently under production. We've been informed there are minor issues with Madam Silver, we've made necessary adjustments to the design to ensure the production will be completed in August.

Book set: We've approached three local printers through a publisher, one of which agreed to help initially but had later backed out, stating there are sensitive contents in Climbing Reading Club. This left us no choice but to forego printing in Hong Kong, we are currently approaching 12 overseas printers to begin production as soon as possible.

Tote bag: A manufacturer had agreed to begin production once the title "Lady Liberty HK X Ah To" is removed from the design, we are expecting the production to complete within the month.

Closure of 612: Today (8/18) 612 Humanitarian Relief Fund announced it would cease operation by October, 2021. The Climbing Reading Club will maintain the original plan and continue to donate profits to similar institutions or pro-democracy consignment shops.

Our team understand everyone have their own difficulties, and we have no right in demanding others to take risks; but witnessing local manufactures imposing self-censorship even under anonymity, we can't help but feeling disappointed and frustrated.
