About Group of 7: A Most Secret Tale
It's action-adventure. It's historical fiction. It takes place in the First World War at the Battle of Vimy Ridge. It's our love letter to Canadian history, art, popular culture, and the stories and films of our youth. It's everything we wanted to read in a comic book but couldn't find, so willed it into existence.

Comic books and graphic novels belong in the classroom. As educational resources, they have the ability to inform, inspire and impact. We are absolutely thrilled that Group of 7: A Most Secret Tale has found a home on the book shelves of elementary, high school, English Language Learners and university classrooms across Canada. While we anticipated there would be interest from schools and teachers, the enthusiastic response to Group of 7 : A Most Secret Tale led us to collaborating with high school teachers on a CLASSROOM GUIDE, included with the graphic novel. Educators, if you're reading this, we're always available to discuss Comics in the Classroom. Reach out and perhaps consider supporting this campaign to learn more.

Full disclosure. We will be moving forward with the new printing of Group of 7: A Most Secret Tale despite whether this campaign reaches its fundraising goal or not. What we are asking of you is to help fund 50% of the total printing cost. It is no surprise that we fund our comic book-making endeavours from sales of our comics and out of our own pockets. While we ultimately do this because we love the medium and we love creating stories, it is something we do in addition to our day jobs, which means we make cost-informed decisions about the present and future of Group of 7 Comics. More $ in the bank (whether from sales or fundraising), makes those decisions easier and more palatable for our families. It allows us to make strategic decisions about what and when to release. It allows us to bring our comics to new and larger audiences (last year for example, comic book sales funded our attendance at our very first out-of-province and out-of-country shows, in Montreal and Washington respectively). Simply put, it helps us grow.
