First week analytics
Thank you to all who purchased Vengeance Trail this first week.
Experts in crowdfunding advise to aim to get 50% success in the first few days from friends and family. I don't want to be pushy and annoy my friends, so I haven't made that repeated request. Instead, I plan to advertise across social media and in establishments in my hometown, to find fans of Westerns. This campaign will adjust each month and roll over into a new campaign, along the lines of what Patreon allows.
For the first while, I will be spending all proceeds toward advertising. The plan is a slow build that eventually becomes profitable. I'm experimenting with Twitter and Facebook ads, digital billboards (see this blog post), and will be sending press kits to podcasters and online magazines to get interviewed.
The numbers are in for the first week:
2 DVDs, to be shipped this week.
6 digital downloads, available this Fall.
2 Red Carpet Theatrical Screening - Los Angeles, once planned.
2 donations from super fans.
29 social media shares.
Thank you all for kicking off this campaign. I'm excited to share weekly updates. And if you like what I'm creating, check out EyreFilms.com and the EyreFilms Blog.
