I’m Craig MacLachlan, the owner of Creepy Christina Productions. The company is in loving memory of my wife Christina "Tina" Rose MacLachlan (Creepy Christina, herself!) who passed away 10/29/2018 from breast cancer. We were together for 30 years (since the age of 15) and married for 23 years. I originally started Creepy Christina Productions alongside my friend, Blake Redding, who was very close with Tina. Sadly, Blake passed away in April of 2023 after filming STRAW GIRL. Since his passing, I have continued forward with our vision, values and creative direction for the company; developing raw, disturbing, gritty, unconventional, mental and mind bending stories!
I won third place in a one act screenwriting competition put forth by The Maricopa County Community College District (MCCCD) Creative Writing Competition. I also placed 3rd in a screenwriting competition in England with my co-writer and friend Andy Davie.

"The Straw Girl" is an expansion of the short horror film "Straw Girl" which filmed in April, 2023. "The Straw Girl" will explore the folklore beginnings of Straw Girl (Christina), and her torturous relationships with The Man, and Charlotte. Thus, leading to an event, a moment that transcends forward into the near present where a teenage girl, Christina, is haunted by an entity she calls "The Blue Thing". Christina soon discovers her true identity as her personality shifts into something much darker, devious and sinister. And then The Blue Thing reveals its true identity as well. But, Christina hides a secret deep within her mind, another personality who wants control and to extinguish her for eternity. A personality whom The Man desperately needs to win -Charlotte! As Christina begins to alter her physical appearance in macabre ways, The Man is left helpless, succumbing to her mental and physical torture, leading him down a spiraling path of darkness and despair as he desperately tries to find anyway he can to save his Charlotte.
Who is good and who is evil? Who is light and who is dark? And are things truly as they appear to be or is deception hiding behind a veil of darkness or a veil of light?
Filming is currently slated for October 5th through October 10th at Mystery Ridge Movie Ranch and other locations in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho!
Creepy Christina Productions financial goal for the feature horror film "The Straw Girl", based on the short proof of concept film "Straw Girl", is $22,000. The budget is very tight as we are a small indie production. Everyone on board is passionate about the project, many are returning from the short "Straw Girl", and we all aim to make the best possible film with great visuals, atmosphere, tone, character portrayals and story.

The original concept and character of "Straw Girl" was created by my wife during her first cancer at age 13. She introduced me to the character in high school by hiding under hay and straw in the upper level of a barn - acting creepy and attacking me! She brought out the character from time to time during our life together and it was always so much fun! After Tina passed, Blake and I took the character of Straw Girl that Tina created and turned her into a truly darker, sinister, more menacing and mysterious version with a sense of folklore - something we both knew Tina would be proud of as she was a huge horror fan! Blake and I had tentative ideas for a feature version of Straw Girl, and after his passing, I have taken the helm of the production and story. My goal is to finish the story of Straw Girl for both my wife, Tina, and for my great friend, Blake. I miss them both so very much and I will make them both proud of the story and film I create in both of their honors and memory.
