Wellington Music Therapy Services (WMTS) is a small organization based in Southern Ontario. We believe in the unique power of music to form life-changing relationships, and are committed to a high quality of care that is adaptable, evidence-based, and built with respect through collaboration.
Our team is committed in striving towards community empowerment, and uplifting minoritized voices. Our team believes in the fair and ethical treatment of all people. We believe that client’s voices should be at the forefront of change, and that therapists should strive towards practicing active allyship.

therapy services to every person who wants them. Our vision is for
collaboration in Canadian health care that includes creative arts
therapies. Through this fundraiser, we hope to provide better care
for our communities, and ensure that our staff are well taken care of.
About this fundraiser:
Our Annual Sunshine Fund event is an initiative we started last year that helps us provide better care for our communities. The impact of this fundraiser has supported us in providing greater care for low income families, offering paid meetings and program planning for staff, incorporating compassion rate top-ups, and having options for paid sick leave.
What is the Sunshine Fund?
The Sunshine Fund ensures that every member of our team has financial access, regardless of the number of hours worked or years of service. We believe that having the ability to take time off is essential for maintaining mental health without facing financial penalties. By supporting our therapists in prioritizing their well-being, we enable them to uphold their mental integrity and enhance their effectiveness in their roles. Ultimately, this approach not only fosters personal health but also strengthens our collective ability to provide exceptional care.
What is Compassion Rate Top Up?
Our Compassion Rate Top-Up fund supports low-income families in
accessing our services, while ensuring that our staff continue to
receive their full payment. This initiative allows us to offer
critical support to those in need without impacting the financial
stability of our team.
