Jamie Jones hasn't added a story.
What started off at my love letter to pulp, action-adventure comics of the 40s and 50s has grown into a project I cannot stop thinking about. And now it’s time for the latest long form BABOON adventure. A full 94 pages of adventure!
Light, fun and fast, The Baboon sits firmly in the wish fulfillment vein that runs through the stories of Batman and Robin, Johnny Quest, and Terry and the Pirates. Stories made for all ages. And in this lighter approach tackling some heavier themes, such as: death, adoption, and family life, without having to get too realistic. The Baboon and his team are a family and they act and deal with problems accordingly. They may butt heads, but at the end of the day they love each other.
WHO IS THE BABOON?
To the world at large, The Baboon is a nothing more than a government myth. A figure of the shadows taking down evils wherever they lurk. To his crew -three of the greatest heroes of their time- he is a man of daring and compassion, who will stop at nothing to defend the world from the greatest evils known to man. But, to his adopted nephew, Jamie, Barton Marlow - The Baboon- is the coolest guy in the whole world. And now in his new life of adventure, Jamie wrestles with being the regular kid he once was and living up to his uncle's expectations. A man whose fantastic exploits are unequaled for narrow escapes, fantastic adventures, and endless thrills.
THE TEMPLE OF ETERNAL LIFE
The secrets of life everlasting lie hidden deep within the jungles of South America. Magics guarded by traditions of long forgotten cultures. Traditions that hold no meaning to the modern man. Old friends, Ancient warriors, and magics far beyond the mortal coil collide. To save the world THE BABOON must battle the past to ensure his family’s future.
