Hello, Hello!
We all love a good story that we can connect with: a compelling plot with relatable characters that entertain and inspire. I believe I have something to offer that checks all the boxes and more! I'm Abby, the indie film writer, director, producer, and casting director of Abby's Road Films based in the Richmond, VA area. I wrote a screenplay that my actors and I think you will truly enjoy. It's called The Ladybugz; a comedy-drama about a high school student named Jennifer in 1960s England with a big dream: to start her own all-girl rock band! And this band is special--they will remind you of a world-famous supergroup we love:
The Beatles!
I've been a Beatles fan for decades. Their music, history, personalities, humor, looks, and variety of talents have always intrigued me. I wanted to write a story that paid homage to their greatness, and decided to pen an original concept screenplay in 2022 about a similar band; but all female. This screenplay will make you laugh, cry, sing along, feel nostalgic, and identify with every character. I mean it when I say there is something for everyone in this story. Are you excited? We sure are!

on the agenda is to film Episode 1 of the series.

Have you always wanted to be involved in film? You will be considered for a speaking or non-speaking supporting role in the series, thanks to your giving! If you prefer to help behind the scenes, there are plenty of ways you can be involved on the production side on set! The Director will discuss it with you personally to what would be the best fit. (Donors who contribute $800.00 also receive Special Thanks credit, mugs and tee-shirts, one character named after them, and behind the scenes virtual access).
Making a film is a fascinating and involved process. Trying to describe it doesn't fully explain all that it is. How would you like to see exclusive footage of what goes on during a day of filming on The Ladybugz set? With your contribution, you could receive a virtual backstage pass to see our cast and crew first hand, doing what they do so well! (Donors who contribute $400 also receive Special Thanks credit, mugs and teeshirts, etc....and one character named after them).
That's a lyric from the song "Do, Re, Mi" from the 1965 classic--The Sound of Music. What name should we call one of our characters? How about your name?! We still have a few roles to fill, and can name a character after you! Live on in Ladybugz history! (Donors who contribute $250 also receive Special Thanks Credit and mugs, tee-shirts, etc...)
