Celebrating 44 years of 44 Vaughan Road. Established in 1980, Young Choung Taekwondo Academy has created numerous champions on and off the mats. Roots run deep, branches grow wide.

To commemorate the anniversary I will be reformatting my first book  “Tree Kids of Troop 44” and it’s follow-up “Tree vs Fox” into 2 new full colour graphic novels. Inspired by my experiences through 44 Vaughan Road, these books are a window into my thoughts and feelings about martial arts, sports, friendship, perseverance and teamwork.

Funds raised from this campaign will go towards:

✅YCTKD High Performance Team: Competition and travel costs rack up and NSOs and PSOs of Taekwondo offer little support to athletes and coaches. This campaign will help relieve some costs of competition.

✅Variety Village: The host venue of YCTKD’s annual tournament “Toronto Open”,  this all-ability facility has been offering accessible activities since 1949, including a YCTKD program since 1990. This campaign will donate a portion to this wonderful charity to which I hold dear.
✅Print/Shipping Costs

Contributing to and sharing this campaign means giving opportunities to the promising athletes of YCTKD, building the inclusive culture of Variety Village and hopefully inspiring future martial artists and life champions with my comics work.
