**Help Us Bring WOLF to life-- a music video & short film about a woman's** journey to reclaim her voice, her power & her wild soul.

Hello there!

I'm indie singer/songwriter, Kristi Salerno, and I'm inviting you to be a part of our WOLFPACK, donate to our campaign & help us bring this important story to the world...

Women were wild once.

Our ears heard the truth beneath the words.

Our eyes saw the reality behind the curtain.

Our claws were sharp & ready to protect the defenseless.

Our teeth were sharpened by our truth.

...Until our knowing became too threatening

Our truth too challenging. Our voices too loud.

For a system that needed compliance & silence in order to exist.

It was then that the wild was buried, burned & tortured out of women.

But it was never erased.

It fluttered quietly in our wombs. It brushed chills up our spines.

It cast shadows in the corners of our eyes.

Quiet, but not silent. Hidden, but not gone.

**WOLF is about what happens when a woman loses-- and then finds-- her wild self again.** When she reclaims it without apology. When she takes her rightful place amongst all the wild mothers & feminine creatures on this planet...

And we howl in unison once again.

WOLF is an homage to my personal journey, but also a collective feminine reclamation. It is the story of the woman whom— at long last—returns to herself; Who assembles herself from the scattered pieces taken from her by a patriarchal culture, and in doing so… finds her true power. This journey transforms her from docile, dutiful, damsel ( prey) to sovereign untamed warrior (Huntress) as she reclaims her wild nature and untapped power as: " The woman in wolves clothes."

On A Personal Note:

This project is a reclamation of the voice I lost on my journey. It is a hymn to raise the buried, but not forgotten, truth that myself and so many women had to shove deep within our bellies, bodies & psyches— in order to survive. It rewrites the trauma-bypassing narrative: It wasn’t that bad. Nothing really happened. Maybe it was my fault. And demands we stand in the power of our true voice.

What We're Making:

WOLF is an original song that is already recorded, but won't be revealed to the public until we premiere the music video... So, your contributions are helping us create:

1) WOLF Music Video

2) WOLF Short FIlm

... To be released together later this Fall, 2026. The short film will give us a chance as storytellers, to explore the deeper themes of the song & bring it to life in a way that teases a possible future feature film.

The Music Video:

Something mysterious is happening. A call on the wind. Or is it a howl? A pull towards a wild... something in the woods. Or is it someone?

Wolf music video tells the story of 4 women caught in a sort of folkloric domestic amnesia-- living, but not fully alive. Aware of something vital that has been lost... without knowing how to name it.

As the call becomes impossible to ignore, something within the women begins to awaken... something undeniable.

Using inspiration from the indigenous legend, La Loba , we tell the story of the women as they must confront what they've lost and go on the journey to finding themselves again.

It is a journey they must travel alone; in order to discover they are never alone.

It is a journey back home.

We will tell this story through an inventive cinematic language utilizing unique set pieces, otherworldly wardrobe, distinct props, ethereal lighting design, and hypnotic dancers that will lure viewers into this enchanting lullaby taking them on a journey back to a wild power within all of us.

The Short Film:

The short film is serving as a proof of concept for a feature film.

This story dives deeper into establishing the world of WOLF. An eerie mysterious place surrounded by dark forests, mysterious customs and a danger that comes in the night to kidnap women.

In the short, we follow the story of a Dutiful Housewife, who's spent her life following the strict rules of her village. Afraid of what lurks in the night.

She becomes more and more unsettled as she feels the call of something out there... and we begin to witness her understanding of her world start to crumble.

Our hero struggles between what she was told is safe and good... and the seductive pull of something wild & unknown.

There is a power out there that she cannot name... nor deny. Something beyond pulling her beyond where she is allowed to go.

Is it the wolf she's been told to fear? Is it a ghost in the woods?

Or something even more terrifying?

How We Are Making This:

To bring this powerful project to life, we will be shooting WOLF in two locations across Los Angeles over the course of three days:

A mysterious fairytale cottage and an enchanted forest set our scene.

Six performers (including four dancers) bring their talents, hearts & bodies to unfold the arch of our story.

In addition, a brilliant team of visionary creatives are assembling, to conjure up the fantastical world that is WOLF.

THE IMPACT:

I believe at this moment, Women on this planet are standing on a precipice. That we are being invited to welcome back a part of ourselves that this culture silenced, burned, abused & tried to erase… simply because it was too powerful. I call this part, THE HUNTRESS. And she holds the frequency of fierce love.

She is the part of the feminine that does not submit. She holds the line & does not falter when she is threatened. She does not care if she is liked. She does not need to fit in. She is terrifying & feared because she sees through every lie. She stands with her sword of truth and holds people & systems to full accountability. Obviously, fearful men with evil plans— patriarchy— needed to erase her.

And she is needed. Right. NOW. She is a part of YOU… of every one of us...

They tried to take the fierce out of the feminine… but it didn’t work. Because the feminine is fierce. The huntress was always just beneath the surface. Waiting for the right moment to step forward— and, I believe, that moment is NOW.

WOLF is about that moment. When we reclaim the lost parts of ourselves. When we step fully into the power of our fierce love…

VISUAL INSPIRATION:

The Team

ARTIST: Kristi Salerno

Kristi is a performing artist, singer/songwriter & embodiment guide. She has been a performer since the age of 5 and booked theatre, film & tv roles throughout her 18 year career in Los Angeles. In 2012, she launched Dance For Artists (DFA,) -- teaching expression & somatic movement to over a thousand Hollywood actors over the course of a decade. She privately coached new performers as well as Oscar winners, and was named one of "LA's Best Dance Instructors" in BACKSTAGE WEST (2016.) In 2017 Kristi launched KRIA Method-- a wellness modality combining dance & somatic movement for healing, in addition to her 1:1 healing practice. Kristi recently returned to music full-time and released her first EP, Asherah in 2025-- Now streaming everywhere. Kristi can be seen performing and producing creative projects in & around the LA & San Diego areas-- where she lives with her husband, Rob Salerno, and their adorable wolf-pup, Lukas. Kristi is currently producing an indie music video & short film for her original song, WOLF, coming out later this year!

DIRECTOR: Jessa Zarubica

Jessa is an award-winning filmmaker with over 20 years of experience across film, television, promos, commercials and digital media. A dyslexic kid who never thought she could become a writer, Jessa sold her first script at 17, launched her production company at 19, helped develop award-winning TV series for Nickelodeon, Amazon, Fullscreen, Pocket.watch and directed her debut feature—remotely—during a global pandemic. Jessa specializes in high-concept storytelling in unique worlds, relatable out-of-the-box-heroes, utilizing her unique blend of propulsive action, grit, heart and humor. She is especially drawn to genre stories that place women at the center of the narrative, using the power of storytelling to explore the female experience, challenge cultural expectations, and inspire meaningful conversation.

"Kristi Salerno's Wolf is written and performed like a modern fairy tale; haunting, mythic, and deeply emotional. Because the song itself unfolds like a fairy tale, both the music video and accompanying short film will embrace that same language of folklore, symbolism, and transformation. Through this lens of fantasy and horror, we'll explore themes of identity, autonomy, power, and self-discovery in a way that feels both timeless and deeply relevant. I'm so excited to bring Kristi's vision to life and hope this project can serve as a light for those navigating their own journey back to themselves. At its core, this piece serves as an invitation to imagine what becomes possible when women reclaim the parts of themselves they were taught to abandon. Kelly Balch is an award-winning filmmaker, photographer, director, and producer whose work explores identity, human connection, and transformation. For over 16 years, Kelly has traveled the world documenting stories that challenge, inspire, and connect us. Having photographed more than 500 weddings and produced work across North America, Europe, South America, Australia, New Zealand, and the Amazon rainforest, she has built her career around one belief: every person carries a story worth witnessing. Her photography and filmmaking have been featured in more than 30 major publications, including Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, Variety, The Hollywood Reporter, GQ, People, Brides, and The Guardian. She is also a contributing entertainment photographer for Getty Images. As creator and director of the documentary series Exploring Identity, Kelly uses film to spark meaningful conversations around gender, sexuality, relationships, and belonging. Her work has earned international recognition, including Audience Award at the Los Angeles Queer Film Festival and Best Director at the Korea International Short Film Festival. Her National Geographic-supported short film, Warrior, was also selected for Diversity in Cannes and screened during both Rio and London Climate Week.

PRODUCER: Noel Elie

Noel Elie is an award-winning actress, filmmaker, producer, director, and writer whose work spans film, television, and digital media. As seen on CBS's Blue Bloods, NBC's Shades of Blue, ABC’s Shark Tank, and The CW's Dynasty, with additional appearances on Nickelodeon, FOX, and Lifetime Movie Network, she has also been featured in the Daily Mail, New York Post, Yoga Journal, and Women's Health, among others. Noel is someone who gives a damn about women reclaiming what was taken from them and standing in their power.
As founder of Noel Elie Productions, she creates character-driven stories centered on transformation, resilience, and what it means to come back to yourself and live a fully alive life on your own terms. Drawing from her background as both a performer and creator with a global digital audience of hundreds of thousands, she brings creative vision, humor, innovation, and deep vulnerability to every project she touches. Often challenging the status quo, her work exists at the intersection of entertainment and raw, emotional truth. Stories that let people feel what they can't always feel on their own. Wolf is exactly that kind of story in line with her heart... The kind that cracks you open, pulls something loose, and refuses to let you look away.

DIRECTOR OF PHOTOGRAPHY: Mario Contini

Mario is a Cinematographer and IATSE Local 600 Camera Operator born and raised in Southern California. What started out as an interest in stop-motion animation at a very early age developed into a full-fledged career behind the camera at 24 frames per second. Mario graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in film production from Cal State University Northridge in 2009. While in college he got his start in the film industry through the lighting department as a Gaffer, where some of his works were recognized by Kodak and the ASC. Longing to be closer to the action and get first-hand experience working with blocking and actors, Mario transitioned into the camera department as a Focus Puller and then Camera Operator. He has operated camera on several notable films and TV series including 1923 (Paramount) and Everything Everywhere All at Once (A24) and 2nd Unit DP and B Camera Operator on Gaslit (Universal/Starz) and Beef (Netflix/A24). With his extensive technical background in film production, Mario is a highly versatile cinematographer with a great appreciation for his crew. His catalog of work includes music videos for artists like Post Malone, 2 Chainz and Rich the Kid and commercials for large brands like Walmart, Adidas and Dr Pepper. His documentary feature Bottle Conditioned has screened at Seattle International Film Festival, DocVille, and Florida Film Festival. In 2019, he received a Daytime Emmy for his Producing work on his film with long-time collaborater Noel Braham, for their short, Watchtower .

PRODUCER: Brian Hammers

Brian Hammers is an Executive Creative Director and Producer with over 20 years of experience shaping stories across film, live broadcast, music, and branded content. Rising through every role on set—from production assistant to director to founder—he brings a rare, full-spectrum perspective to both the creative and operational sides of production. 
He has led large-scale, high-impact work for global brands including Sony Entertainment, FOX, Spotify, Amazon Studios , and Riot Games, crafting everything from live event broadcasts and original series to culture-defining digital campaigns. Known for building high-performing teams and delivering at scale, Brian thrives at the intersection of commercial, culture, music, and narrative storytelling—where ideas become shared experiences. His work is driven by a belief that the most powerful stories don’t just capture attention—they create connection.

EXECUTIVE PRODUCER: Rob Salerno

Rob is an award-winning producer, director, and editor with more than 20 years of experience creating compelling content across entertainment, advertising, gaming, and branded media. Throughout his career, he has produced and directed commercials, music videos, branded documentaries, short films, video game trailers, and digital campaigns for leading studios, agencies, and global brands. Rob served as Head of Video Marketing at Skydance Interactive, where he led content strategy and production for the critically acclaimed video game The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners. He also held the role of Head of Production at Stoke Foundry, overseeing the development and execution of premium content for a diverse range of high-profile clients and entertainment properties. Known for combining strong creative vision with hands-on production expertise, Rob has built a reputation for delivering emotionally resonant stories and high-impact campaigns from concept through final delivery. His work spans documentary storytelling, commercial production, branded entertainment, and interactive media, helping audiences connect with stories that inform, inspire, and engage.
