Résumé du livre
En attente de sa démolition, le Château Inn se remémore les histoires vécues entre ses murs, par 3 personnes l’ayant fréquenté :
- Une britannique, mariée à un soldat canadien, qui n'arrive pas à trouver sa place dans ce “boomtown” des années 40
- Un sympathique caïd surfant sur le boom de la cocaïne des années 80 jusqu'à sa mort aux mains des Hells Angels
- Une adolescente rebelle des années 90 qui se trouve un nouveau chez-soi au sein du Château.
Où va l'argent?
Les fonds recueillis serviront au processus éditorial qui comprend la correction, le lancement à Val-d'Or, ainsi que les frais d’impression du livre.
Ceci est une campagne "keep it all", donc même si les objectifs de financement ne sont pas atteint, vous recevrez vos précommandes et autres récompenses.
J'ai l'intention de créer d'autres bandes dessinés sur
l'histoire de Val-d'Or, donc votre soutien compte énormément pour moi.

Book summary
Awaiting its demolition, Val-d’Or’s Chateau Inn bar tells the
real-life stories of the people who frequented it:
• A British
war bride who can’t find her footing in the rough 1940s
boomtown;
• An affable drug kingpin who rides the 1980s cocaine
boom until his death at the hands of the Hells Angels; and
• A
1990s rebellious teenager who finds a second home at
the Chateau.
Where does the money go?
Funds go to printing, shipping, travel (for the book launch) as well as proofreading and fact-checking services.
This is a ‘keep it all’ campaign. This means that you will receive your pre-orders and other rewards even if the funding target isn’t hit.
I plan to create more Val-d'Or history comics. Your support means a
lot to me.
