We are Budapest-based musicians sharing a common passion for the Balkans! Our goal with this project is to bring the repertoire of Serbian, Romanian, Bosnian and Greek music to an audience that might not otherwise be familiar with the world of this rich musical region, and certainly not in this unique musical setting provided by the cimbalom, accordion and double female vocal lead. Although each of us has already spent many years in the Balkan music scene as professional musicians, as a band we’ve just entered the stage, our journey together has just begun and we need your help to create new video content!
Here you can watch our first videos from our favorite moments of a live concert session that we recently recorded in Budapest. In these videos we selected both famous hits and hidden treasures that we considered essential in our musical programme, but we also welcome your own requests for songs you would like to hear in our performance, songs that are important to you. Your ideas can be very helpful to us in expanding our repertoire, whether it is Greek, Romanian, Serbian, Bosnian or Macedonian folk music as well as coffeeshop and taverna songs. So let this also be a forum between musicians and audience, we might even surprise you with your suggestions…
