A bientôt à Paris pour Ruins in Reverse <3
Grazie,
Sofia

ENGLISH
Ruins in Reverse is a group show presenting the work of three young artists based in France around the theme of ruins. The exhibition will take place November 7th-15th 2024 at La Volonté 93, a former warehouse converted into artist's studios in the Paris suburbs.
My name is Sofia Lurati, a Swiss national French-based art historian and curator, whose research practice and areas of interest primarily revolve around the interdisciplinary nature of architectural design and urban research, and the sustainable development of cities and societies.
Ruins in Reverse is a project for which I have been working on for roughly a year, and it is essential for the validation of my Masters in Curatorial Studies at IESA Paris, as it will crown the end of my academic journey.
This crowdfunding is essential for the realization of this exhibition and it will be used for :
- artists' and graphic designers' fee
- transports costs (for artists and artworks)
- mounting hardware (packaging materials, screws, nails, paint, ...)
- communication (printing of posters and graphic conception)
- opening evening costs
- publication of a small catalogue/fanzine (if we manage to reach the desired amount)
Excerpt of the exhibition text :
" Today, our lives are changing at breakneck speed, driven by technological advances and the constant demand for progress. Urban landscapes are changing rapidly, with buildings being demolished and new structures built at an unprecedented rate. This relentless drive for development is often accompanied by a frenzied consumption of everyday objects and a disregard for environments that once held special meaning for us. The emphasis on efficiency and modernisation often overshadows the value of preservation and reflection. In this era of rapid change, the balance between growth and sustainability becomes even more crucial, as we navigate the complexities of an increasingly dynamic existence. Lucie Gholam, France-Lan Lê Vu and Alexandre Nitzsche Cysne oppose this frenzy, their works being a meditation on the passage of time and the persistence of memory."
Your support would be invaluable for the realization of this project, so that the artists and graphic designers can be properly remunerated, and for the overall production of the exhibition.
The money raised will be used entirely for this project. For complete transparency, the budget (including the expenses incurred with the money raised) will be shared with you at the end of the exhibition.
Any amount can help ! Thank you for supporting this project very dear to my heart, and thank you for supporting young creatives and the arts ! To show gratitude for your help, a catalogue/fanzine will be sent out to you by post.
See you soon in Paris for Ruins in Reverse ! <3
Grazie,
Sofia

ITALIANO
- comunicazione (stampa manifesti, progettazione e ideazione grafica)
Grazie,
Sofia
