Sunny Days Cafe and Yoga all started because I wanted to open a space for people to have delicious coffee and work on their physical and mental health. I experienced many hardships as we awaited the build-out process. Through the entire difficult process my significant other and I found that it was not in our best interest to continue working this business together. So, I finished out our opening week during December of 2023 as a solo-business woman. I felt like I was a Starbucks employee, except I need to also be the manager, owner, marketing team, janitor, class instructor, accountant, controller, personality hire and more. And as the months went by I found that I couldn't possibly reach my full potential this way. I was constantly stressed and depressed because I worked so hard and put everything I had into this place that was only making 50% of what we needed for our monthly expenses. I tried everything, to grant applications and loans. Denied, denied and denied some more so I felt like throwing in the towel. 

But, then I thought, I really did come this far. My cafe is a place that offers extremely AFFORDABLE coffee, pastries and boba in a beautiful laid out space so that people of all incomes can come and enjoy something classy with their friends and family. I spend every day listening to my customers life stories, laughing with them and giving them advice if I can. I've helped homeless people with coffee, food, water or money if they ever ask. As a yoga instructor I work tirelessly to give my yogis class after class so that they have a place to build wholesome community while also taking care of their health. I have partnered with women's groups to set up events that don't revolve around the classic clubbing and partying scene. My customers know that when they come here that they can relax, lay their problems on me and continue on their day feeling better. I want to continue to be a part of this community and continue to help those who need it.  

That's why I am asking for help from the same community I am looking to serve. The funding I receive here will keep me from getting evicted in the next week or two and pay my lease payments here. I am able to make enough to cover all of my overhead besides my monthly lease payment  and the additional fees my landlord adds every single month. I am hoping that I could also use a portion of this funding to pay for official marketing. This is my last ditch effort to save Sunny Days Cafe. I appreciate anyone who has it in their hearts to give.
