I'm Michael Boidy, helicopter crash survivor, director, filmmaker and TEDx speaker.

Over the past ten years, I've been developing "Heart Beat," a documentary exploring how music serves as powerful medicine for the human body and mind. What began as a passionate journey has evolved into something much more significant: a scientifically-backed documentary into how sound and music therapy is transforming lives across the world.

On April 15, 2012, I nearly died in a helicopter crash while filming in Guatemala. I suffered from a broken back, injuries affecting my daily life, work, and well-being. Surgery and physical therapy helped incredibly, however still living pain, depression and low energy. Until a year and half later, I discovered something miraculous that helped me recover quickly : a trifecta of healing.  A weeklong adventure in nature, surrounded by community, art & music .
