Had Trans Mag stocked in 10+ local bookstores nationwide
Opened international shipping
Represented 80+ Trans artists and their work

All in all, we learned that there is a NEED for more Trans art and opportunities in this world, and we want to do everything we can to make those opportunities happen. In order for that to happen, we are planning our next steps:

2026 PLANS:

Issue #3: TRANS CLOWNS (April)

- The intersection of Transness and Clowning is VAST. Clown has allowed people to experiment with gender, expression, performance, presentation, and more in a way very similar to drag. There are THOUSANDS of Trans Clowns around the world whose work will be highlighted in this issue.

Issue #4: TRANS-FUTURISM (June)

- What is Trans and Science-Fiction came together?? Transness is typically left out of a lot of conversations and media surrounding the future, so we can make our own! From science-fiction to steampunk to solar punk to apocalyptic, Transness has always existed and WILL EXIST IN THE FUTURE!! We will showcase how we view that future to be!

Issue #5: TRANS x RELIGION (September)

- Trans issues and religion have a very complicated history together. Some experience decades of trauma from religious institutions while others have a safe and comfortable relationship between their Transness and religious beliefs. We will explore what this looks like for folks all over the world.

Issue #6: TRANS ELEMENTAL (December)

- Transness extends from our primal connection to the earth. We see Transness everywhere in nature, and people can connect their Transness to the earth in dozens of different ways. How does your Transness connect you to nature? Where do you see yourself in the trees, in the sky, in the ocean, in the dirt?

HOW WILL WE DO ALL THAT?

STEP 1: LLC FORMATION

HAVING A BUSINESS. Our long term goal makes us a profitable Trans business that will allow us to hire a fully Trans staff while continuing to pay and represent Trans artists.
GRANT FUNDING. Instead of putting our profits into shareholders, investors, or the 1%, we can make sure that we can send out grants directly to our Trans community.
MUTUAL AID SUPPORT. Additional funds can be allocated to fulfilling Trans mutual aid requests through funding platforms or social media to make sure people's bare minimums are taken care of.

All of these things will be made possible by us being fully self-sustaining as a business. This is our chance to turn capitalism into a tool that directly helps our community.

STEP 2: GROWTH

INCREASE MEDIA PRESENCE. We will dramatically increase our weekly output of social media posts, newsletters, and Substack releases to maintain consistent with our community.
PRINTING MORE COPIES. Starting with Issue #4, we will increase our output slowly to make up for the demand of magazines. We sold out of Issue #1 and are on track to sell out of Issue #2. Increasing output will make sure we can get more copies to independent bookstores around the country for folks to snag.
INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING. We just started offering international distribution, but want to make sure that our Trans media is available for people all over. We will streamline and better our international distro.
BIGGER/MORE EVENTS. We've been keeping it pretty low key with the events for 2025, but are looking to collab and produce MORE Trans-focused events next year. Trans short film fest, Trans zine fair, etc...
MERCH. We want to build a reputable brand of Trans work that anyone can be a part of. We will grow our merch selections for 2026 so that your money will go directly to supporting Trans people for gifts and households

STEP 3: CONSISTENCY

MORE TOURS. We always want to make sure we get to meet face to face with Trans folks from all over. An established business will allow for more US tours as well as international travel to hear what Trans folks need directly.
QUALITY MEDIA. We will uphold a high standard for the reporting of Trans news, people, and events. We want to avoid clickbait writing, and deliver important, high quality information on the Trans community.
KNOWLEDGE SHARING. We will help small Trans creators grow and succeed in their individual lives through community talks, conference speaking, Trans accelerators, Trans startup funding, and consistent resourcing.
FREE RESOURCES. We will work with Trans-centered nonprofits and community orgs to ensure Trans people have access to all resources that they might need (binders, hormones, gender tape, flight/housing assistance, etc...)

The $10,000 we are looking to raise will help make all of this work possible. We don't come from money, we don't have grants coming in, and we aren't bullshitting our plans. We are all working class artists trying to build something good for our collective Trans tomorrow. Here's how you can help:

DONATE. A donation goes directly to helping make all of these plans possible.
TALK TO A RICH FRIEND. Either send this Crowdfundr to someone you know who would be willing to help, or get them in touch with us to talk about larger donations.
SEND TO BIG COMPANIES. Large companies tend to offer forms of private funding and donations, but it is hard to find them all. Send our funding links to those companies with an ask, and see if they will donate.
