Hello, dear friends and supporters,

We’re excited to invite you into a very special project close to our hearts: On The Horizon is an exploration of grief and guilt through the lens of young adulthood. This short film is a tribute to our director’s beloved grandfather, Herb Goldberg.   

The Story

After a heavy loss, Sam is overwhelmed with guilt as their new reality settles. Acceptance hasn't quite kicked in, and perhaps a chance encounter with a stranger can provide some clarity during such a tumultuous time. 

The Ask 

To make this vision a reality, we need to raise $6,000 for production. These funds will go towards securing locations, renting equipment and most importantly feeding our cast and crew! 

But here’s the thing—every dollar we raise doesn’t just help us create this meaningful film; it also supports a cause we care deeply about. All extra funds will be donated to Alzheimer’s research, helping to further the fight against this challenging disease.

As you can imagine, this project means the world to me. I wrote the script the night my mom told me that my grandfather was being put in hospice care. It was a moment I realized too late, I would have no more time with him. I felt immense guilt for the missed opportunities and the could-have-beens. I want to create this film not only to help process my own feelings but to also share the experience of being in such a hollow place, because I know I'm not the only one who has been there.
