Hi. My name is Core y and I often go by the nom de plume C.F. Godwell. I'm a Bronx baby, making me a Native New Yorker, at the time of this writing I'm 54 years present and I am an artist first and foremost. I've been an avid comics fan since the age of 8 (or maybe 7, it's hard to keep up these days) and I originally entered the Indy Comic Book stage as a creator in 2012 when I self published 'The Boy from Planet A'  out of my pocket and with more than a few Hail Mary's from my friend and ally Dan Hort's former print company. I initially planned followed it up with a mini series called 'Born Into This', but I got in my own way, taking my time here for granted and the quality of my work suffered along with my body. While aging is a blessing, you never really stop learning hard lessons. Add to that dawn of COVID 19 and the little enthusiasm I had, went right out the door. The best part about life is living to long enough to not only recognize your errors, but being blessed with the time to clean up your act. What you see before you is a lesson in course correction and why I trashed all but 3 pages from Born into This and hit the reset button. Simply put? This is the graphic novel that B.I.T. was supposed to be. With those days are far behind me, I initially launched this campaign on Indiegogo, and while they are a great platform, this is where I should've been to begin with. Crowdfundr was created with comic creators in mind and I am looking forward to succeeding with this campaign.
Bringing this undertaking to fruition has become my Moby Dick and failure to produce is not an option. Trying to do this myself and without the capital and a solid team to do so was a fools errand. This is why I decided to embrace crowdfunding, as opposed to a grant or a loan because this way the product is basically pre-ordered with you contribution going toward production and your copy (plus add-ons) is secure upon release in August, when it is shipped. I previously set the release date for June, but due to an unsuccessful campaign on a rival platform that is not a good fit for comics (in particular), I decided to cease promotion on the other platform prematurely and will transfer all collected funding here.

Nukleus Comics is an Independent Publishing imprint and the title of the universe that we are building. We are not bound to any cliques, crews, herds, organizations, coalitions, big three's, little two's, nor anything aside from bringing you a fresh take on an industry which is clearly being strangled by special interests, death porn and gimmicky storytelling. We have a small team of players who want to win. They are dedicating time and energy into bringing this experience to you and they also don't work for free. This is America, rent and mortgage reign, but your contribution to this project will come to fruition in the work. That much I can guarantee you. The quality of the printing alone will justify the funding goal and you best believe I am leaving my leaving a bit of my soul on every page to bring you a strong product.

Nukleus: The Most Beautiful Sound Never Heard  is a story that begins directly following the events of 'The Boy from Planet A'.

It is the summer of 1979. The Salt II treaty collapsed. My mother rooted for Apollo Creed in Rocky 2. Hometown heroes The Spook and Mercury Morgan are dead. When an old dormant radio signal abruptly reactivates and begins to interfere with every form of television, radio, and communication signal worldwide. NASA, The Soviet space program, CNES, The British space programme and various government agencies shadow hierarchy gather and activate the opening stages of a mothballed defense protocol called Operation: Waveburst, which can plunge the planet into complete darkness in order to save itself. fearing that the signal is either alien in origin or at the least some new form of terrorism with no known point of origin, this protocol was designed to stop whatever the attack is in its track.

Naturally, conspiracies begins to shadow science and take a life of their own when isolated chatter of individuals queuing into the signal without the aid of an electronics device begins to seep out amongst the generally superstitious populace of earth. They describe the signal as "divinity". A melody that induces an almost euphoric focus akin to an acid trip, as though they are wading through water. Almost as if the sound they were hearing was encompassing them like a warm embrace and that it was everywhere. Religious zealots and fanatics alike are naturally deducing these individuals to be either demons or blessed respectively, labeling them "listeners", who are believed to possess the ability to hear the voice of God itself, signaling the return of Christ, the Anti-Christ or a some kind of culling of all life on the planet.

Cordoba Sands, a teenager from the Bronx, not only is driven to the point of (what was initially perceived as) madness by the "voice of God" (as evangelicals call it) but she is the sole Listener who begins to actually translate this intoxicating noise into chanting, her forehead literally burning from the transmission. Her chants dictated like instructions. Her situation only becomes more complicated when she locks into yet a second frequency. Only this time the incoming transmission is more unnerving, destabilizing, vertigo inducing, which begins to take a toll on the child. Finally, the young philanthropist Basil Bey, who is tied to a small fringe joint department of government created by NASA and the FBI, deviously called 'Ultra Virus', took it upon himself to reconnect with this peculiar family who he is all too familiar with. It is then that Cordova's family finally admits to that which Basil suspected, that the two untraceable signals are seemingly originating from a some other place, possibly in another frequency other than our own and that the two signals emanating from two separate planets were closely within range of earth. This is absurd because neither can be detected by the naked eye nor any advanced technology, so where are they and why is their proximity to earth now imbuing a privy few with power beyond belief...if you know the access code.

Its a secret that many are willing to wreck anything or anyone in their way to acquire.
Nukleus: TMBSNH at its core is an exploration into the generational warfare that we experienced in the overwhelmingly aggressive 20th century and a family who once were hailed as futurists fighting to reassert their influence in the 21st. It is also delves into the religious tropes that led to the dawn of the superhuman being suppressed.
Nukleus: The Most Beautiful Sound Never Heard is the meticulously crafted 60 page followup to the little known 2013 one-shot 'The Boy from Planet A' and the foundation of world building for all Nukleus Comics projects going forward. One thing you will notice about Nukleus as a company, is that we will be centering on compelling character driven stories, not big crossover gimmicks, nor virtue signaling to sell books. weekly updates regarding the stage of production, which as of this writing is at:

These numbers will change randomly throughout the week as we work diligently to get this done. You will be made ware of where exactly your money is going as we enter a new phase (i.e., art, editing, lettering, printing, etc) and the Nukleus Comics Instagram Page will feature visual updates and videos. While I am currently ahead of schedule regarding completion of the art duties, should we hit a delay of any sort, and unforeseen delays are not uncommon in comics, you will be made aware via the Nukleus Comics websiteand through email updates via this campaign. While we wont be displaying the actual cost, we might be inclined to share the various printers we are using because we do want to drive business their direction.

NOTE: Shipping costs will be calculated according to region and final content weight of the tier you have chosen. I don't want this to be a shock to you when your product is ready to ship, so I want to make this clear ahead of time. You will receive an accurate shipping cost when we are ready to ship, which if you are located in the U.S is pretty reasonable. In all cases, I will personally see to it that shipping costs are reasobaly tabulates and that you receive you product.

We are asking for $4,000 from our potential backers and in order to make the full project come to fruition. Naturally a graphic novel is a huge undertaking. It takes time away from not only my 9 to 5, but hiring actual human beings (no A.I. here) to proofread, edit, compensate the variant cover artists, pay a promotional team and of course take care of the various Printers  carrying out the rigorous duties of completing postcards, promo art, lunchboxes, printing on lunchboxes, stickers, surprises and of course the actual books.
