Synopsis

"Meat Wall" follows Xavier as he crashes a soiree hosted by the acclaimed director, Anton Freeberg. Initially, Xavier believes he can impress Anton and secure a role that could change his life. However, he quickly discovers that the world of high-class art is not as welcoming as he had hoped.

As Xavier navigates the complexities of ambition, he forms a bond with Anton over their shared love for filmmaking. Yet, a misunderstanding leads to a rift between them. Just when Xavier thinks his dreams are dashed, his passion reignites Anton's interest. This culminates in a late-night invitation to Anton's basement, where a horrifying secret is unveiled, one that may explain Anton's success in the industry.

In an ever-evolving landscape of indie filmmaking, the core passion for creating art remains unchanged. "Meat Wall" serves as both a celebration and a cautionary tale about the lengths to which filmmakers will go to achieve their dreams. It highlights the harsh realities of the creative industry, where the naive can be consumed and discarded sometimes in the most literal sense.

This film pays homage to horror movie legends like John Carpenter and David Cronenberg, drawing inspiration from their storytelling and practical effects. We aim to keep the art of practical effects alive, reminiscent of iconic films such as "The Substance" and "The Fly."
