Who are we?
We are a group of young aspiring film makers wanting to tell the story of "Eva". The cast and crew of around 20 people are friends and colleagues from all over Germany working in film, as well as enthusiasts for the story and motion picture in general. Together we want to bring Eva's story to life on the big screen and we need your help to do that. You can read more about the story and about who we are in the gallery above. The language of the film is German; however, a subtitled version will be published online after the premiere.
Dates
We will be going into production on 21st March 2022 and are scheduled to wrap only 4 days later on 25th March 2022.
The date of the screening will be subject to the availability of the venue and ongoing film festivals. We will inform you about the location of the screening in good time.
What do you get if you support us?
There are 3 tiers to our campaign.
Tier 1 (15€): You will receive a personal seat reservation at the screening of the finished film.
Tier 2 (25€): Alongside your reservation, you will receive an original movie poster at the screening. If you can't make the screening, we will post it to you.
Tier 3 (50€): As well as the first two tiers, you will receive exclusive behind-the-scenes material from our production.

Eva and her husband Felix are on a wellness holiday. For once, they want to spend time in a fancy hotel and treat themselves to some time off.
One morning, Eva is awake before Felix. She decides to go running in the morning sun, letting her husband have a lie in. As she sits down for a quick break on a bench overlooking the lake, she meets a mysterious woman, who, nonetheless, somehow seems familiar to Eva. It is this woman who will open a new chapter of Eva’s life.
The first unknown, but yet not unfamiliar, acquaintance from the lake becomes Eva’s affair. The pair take a dive into the questions of identity and self-love in a way Eva could never have done by herself. It is at a campfire on the beach late at night that the two decide to go swimming, leading to Eva waking up in her hotel bed.
The realistic and meaningful dream pursues Eva. The memories of the dream uninteruptedly run through Eva’s head, consuming her. And Felix, of course, gets to feel this. He barely recognises his wife anymore. However, Eva is left unable to explain.
Intention
The idea for this story stemmed from a dream itself, that, like Eva, got me thinking quite a bit. It felt very intuitive to integrate the dream as an element to the story itself and tell it that way.
The screenplay and the finished film should first and foremost be an encouragement to self-love. In other words, an encouragement to move towards the acceptance of your own person and away from the ideas of others about how you are supposed to be, to indulge yourself in the supposed luxury of seeing youself as complete and “good the way you are”. A counterbalance to not be pushed to self-hate by words like “arrogant” and “narcissistic”, simply because you are at peace with who you are.
It is a criticism of role models, stereotypes, any form of rules, telling one how to be, as it is only through its authenticity and its differences that the individual can be truly unique.
It is also a call to self-reflect and to think about who you are, to turn inwards and feel, a call to awareness and mindfulness. A plea that emotions and impulses are not an enemy, but a friend we can learn to dance with.
