Ted Jonas began the world's longest game of exquisite corpse in 1976, which continued until 2005, two years after his death, involving 132 artists from around the globe. He named his collective work of art long distance and it sits in a museum along with postcards and envelopes sent received from the artists involved from. around the world.
This history explains why each three-day event offers only 132 spots
for participants, regardless of their artistic backgrounds, as Nyoga
Chyoga aims to break the world record for the most participants
playing the game in a year and all collective art projects created
will be auctioned off for charity.
To avoid any possible insensitivity to people experiencing grief
we have changed the name of our version of the game to The extended
effigy. Also as a way to still show this is an extension of an idea
created by Ted Jonas and pay homage to his legacy of the connections
he intended on spreading with the art and love of the game.
we will be spreading the history of the historic game created in the early 1900s and providing people with a at home paint party that will continue in person during a three day breathe and paint event see website for full details.

A portion of the ticket sales and 100% of the auction proceeds will be used to purchase art supplies for families at the OU Children’s Hospital, promoting the influence of the art game and providing long-term patients and their families with a creative outlet for fun and healthy escapism. This initiative aims to distract them from their phones and enhance their morale through the therapeutic benefits of art during difficult times, while also hoping to decorate the hospital. This tribute specifically honors the hospital that has significantly supported the owner’s daughter, Amelia Solomon, who has bravely faced challenges due to her rare disease, NKH. Despite being given a five-year life expectancy in November 2021, Amelia has reached her third year, thriving against the odds.
