After a mugging takes an unexpected turn, a thief recognizes his long-lost lover in the photo inside his victim’s wallet. He strikes a bizarre deal: everyone walks away unharmed if the three of them sit down for dinner together.

The Plot 

Oliver’s casual stroll down an alleyway takes a bizarre turn when a robber named Chris demands his wallet, only to discover a photo of Oliver’s wife, Penelope, who also happens to be Chris’s long-lost lover. Instead of finishing the mugging, Chris forces Oliver to arrange a dinner reunion, promising to leave him unharmed if he complies. That night, the three sit down for an unusual catch-up with laughter and nostalgia between Penelope and Chris. As Oliver is awkwardly stuck in the middle of this situation, buried emotions resurface and the evening spirals toward chaos.

About the Writer/Director 

Leah Juarez is a native Bay Area filmmaker and is greatly passionate about writing and directing. She finds herself writing stories about unfiltered human connections, honing in on the sincere and absurd parts of being human. She loves exploring the consequences of everyday interactions and the humor that comes from people trying to keep it together.
