Welcome to the fourth volume of "Community (Treasure)Chest" by EC3D!

The "TITUS X" project brings you 3D printable STL files for support-free miniatures and terrain/scatter elements to enrich your gaming experience. This series also takes a unique angle on the market, and charitable giving. 

How is this different than a Kickstarter, Patreon, or traditional crowd-funding?

• 40% of raised funds is donated to charity! (more on that below)
• The entire set is priced as "pledge-what-you-can", minimum $5. 
• The unlocked STL files are available right away for you to print - no waiting!
• The campaign will run for 21 days, and there will be no late pledge option  (items will be packaged and sold at retail pricing after the campaign)

I have run several successful Kickstarter campaigns and other projects, and am always a bit saddened when I hear that folks cannot afford to participate due to limited funds or life situations. 3D printers are expensive to get going as well. I wanted to offer some high-quality sets that EVERYBODY could get their hands on. Also, with the current global health and financial situation, lots of folks don't have much in the way of disposable income.

The minimum is $5 - but the final retail price of this set in my store after the 3 week campaign will be roughly $30. My hope is that those who can afford to pledge more will choose to do so ($10, $20, etc... whatever you feel is fair). This project had substantial time and cost investments to get off the ground, but I feel it's our duty to pay it forward! This is the 4th installment of this series, and the last 3 unlocked every stretch goal I had planned, so you'll get plenty of bang for your buck!

If you are in a tough financial spot, running a game for kids or charity, or just don't feel like spending more than $5, then by all means get in for $5. If you have the means to pledge more, appreciate the quality and contents of this set, want to see more like this in the future, and love charitable giving, please pledge as much as you are willing!

Just keep in mind, your pledge helps push us closer to stretch goals -- and if we unlock all stretch goals (which I expect we'll do!) you will be receiving over 40 STLs for your pledge, so bear that in mind when you choose an amount to pledge.

I sure did! 40% of the entire revenue from this project, calculated as total $ raised minus cost of Fundrazr hosting platform (5%), minus cost of card transaction fees (3% + $.30 each), will be donated to charity. For Volume 3 we will be donating to the awesome charity UNICEF (https://www.unicef.org/what-we-do). UNICEF works in over 190 countries and territories to save children’s lives, to defend their rights, and to help them fulfill their potential, from early childhood through adolescence. And in this time of a global health and economic crisis, they are in greater need than ever!

Accountability for giving: At the conclusion of this project I will make the donation from the project funds, and publicly share (and update this page) with the receipt from the charity to confirm the donation on our behalf.

The theme of Volume 4 of the "Community (Treasure)Chest" Series is focused on sci-fi miniatures to help flesh out an RPG or wargaming board! Titled "TITUS X" , it's a continuity of the sci-fi world I've been developing my past Kickstarter projects (The Ignis Quadrant and Novus Landing), however you can use the minis for any use case or game you wish, of course!

MINIATURES

Miniatures are ~30-32mm scale and are designed to print support-free on resin and FDM printers. They have a high level of detail and are a blast to print and paint!  Each mini is included unbased, on a simple round/bevelled base, and on one of my scifi scenic bases.

** Why Support Free **

Support-free designs have many benefits, including being more sturdy / less likely to break (thicker components, merged geometry), less prone to print failure, and less (if any) cleanup and post-processing. You can throw a bunch on your printer, walk away, and come back confident - and get more models on your table faster! Some people think "support-free" means FDM, but these minis come out wonderfully on resin as well, and have the detail to match!

SCATTER TERRAIN / SCENERY

Scenery makes a table really pop and we're including some fun "facade" elements to help quickly make a sci-fi table look great! The facades are designed to print quickly and easily (support-free) in FDM or resin with a high level of detail. They store easily but come together to build  a sci-fi street scene to quickly set the tone at your table. For stretch goals we'll be adding to the facade set (more walls, corner elements etc) + some scatter items.

Each facade piece is included in a standalone version, or a version with keying for my DungeonSticks wall system, so you can connect them or mix/match with any of my sci-fi DungeonStick walls (note that Thingiverse deleted the descriptions of my items but I'm working to remedy)

There are many awesome stretch goals for this project! You can see them all listed below. Most of the models are ready and will be added to the Dropbox link right as they are unlocked, so you can start printing them right away. 

You can increase your pledge amount at any time to help unlock more of these!  Keep an eye on this section, and campaign updates for more info as the ball gets rolling, and help share the project to get the word out and unlock even more cool stuff! As goals are unlocked, please be patient and give me a day or two to get things updated.

LICENSING / COMMERCIAL PRINTING

Backing this project gives you personal license to use these models to print for your own personal use. You cannot distribute, modify, or sell them in any capacity without explicit consent from EC3D. If you wish to sell physical prints of these files commercially, they are eligible for the EC3D/Hero's Hoard Licensing Program.

FILE DELIVERY

Files will be delivered to you in a download link via automated email as soon as you back the campaign. The download link will be a custom code to access a Dropbox folder. As new unlocks are hit, if the files are ready they will be added to the Dropbox folder and available right away. The email will come to your inbox from Fundrazr, so if you do not receive an email shortly after backing the campaign, please search your inbox for notifications@fundrazr.com

If you select perks to get the files from Vol1, Vol2,  or Vol 3 links to access those (completed sets) of files will also be included in the email.

DISCLAIMER AND PRINTING REQUIREMENTS

These files are designed to work on most common 3D printers but a well-tuned printer, and knowledge of printing, will allow you to get the most out of these models. EC3D has made and distributed thousands of high-quality, easy to print models - but is not responsible for the quality you yourself are able to achieve with your individual printer. The nature of support-free models is such that occasionally a small island/overhang is missed in the models during the model process - making models support-free is a very tedious, manual process in modeling software. In most cases, those overhangs will not matter for FDM printing, but in some cases can impact resin printing. We have written custom software to help find/remove islands, but if you have any issues with the models please let us know and we'll remedy any issues.

ARE THERE ANY RISKS TO THIS PRODUCT NOT DELIVERING?

In short - NO. The main models, and many of the planned stretch goals, are already done.

WHO THE HECK IS THIS EC3D OUTFIT ANYWAY?

EC3D is a design/modeling company started by myself (Evan Carothers) to make models for tabletop games. It has evolved over the last few years to work with many other creative professionals and artists beyond just myself to bring larger projects to realization.
