My name is Sonny, and I created this crowdfunding campaign as a surprise for my twin brother, Danny J. He has always been the storyteller in our family – the one who turns everyday moments into scenes, questions the world, and builds entire universes in his notebooks. Now, after years of work, his first science‑fantasy novel, Venus, is finally ready to leave the drawer and meet its readers.

Danny is a 31‑year‑old independent short film director and screenwriter from the mountains of Haute‑Savoie and the countryside of Drôme in France. He studied cinema and has spent years developing his own fiction projects, always focusing on characters caught between imagination and systems of power, identity and the body, nature and technology. Venus is the first volume of a saga set on a planet exhausted by exploitation, where the promise of a new life demands the transfer of souls and forces humanity to question who we really are.

Publishing this book independently means Danny will cover editing, cover design, formatting, printing, and promotion by himself. For an emerging author without a big publisher behind him, these costs are a real barrier. That’s why I’m asking for your help: every contribution, even the smallest one, will bring Venus closer to its readers and show Danny that his work matters.
