My name is Dr. Mildred Sierra.

For years, I lived a story I didn’t have the words to explain—one where love was confused with pain, silence, and survival. What many never saw was the reality behind closed doors: cycles of domestic violence, emotional trauma, and the internal battle between staying and breaking free.

Today, I have chosen to share my story.

“It Was Not Real Love” is a feature film inspired by my life and based on my most recent book, “Fue por Amor.” This project represents one of the most challenging—and meaningful—steps I have taken: opening my heart so that others may find clarity, strength, and hope through what I once lived.
