Howdy, I'm Robert Wilson IV, I'm a comic book creator and poster designer who has made posters for musical acts such as Metallica, 'Weird Al' Yankovic, and many others. Ever since I was a kid, I was fascinated by space and space exploration and have wanted to find a way to express that love through my art. Over the last two years, I've been chipping away at designing four posters that convey the ambition, ingenuity, bravery, and drama of NASA's iconic space program. I've designed a poster for each of the four major periods of the program, Mercury, Gemini, Apollo, and the Space Shuttle program and I need your help to make them real. 

THE POSTERS

Each screen printed poster will be hand printed by my long time screen printing collaborators, Nakatomi Inc., in Austin, TX. The posters will be 18x24," full bleed, 8 color screen prints with metallic gold ink highlights. I will also be offering a foil print variant, exclusive to this Crowdfundr campaign. Each poster, regardless of which version you choose, will be signed and numbered.

WHY CROWDFUNDING?

The short answer is screenprinting is expensive. Due to the hand made nature of screenprinting, it takes a lot of time and a high level of craftsmanship to produce a high quality, precisely aligned, archival quality screenprint.

RISKS AND CHALLENGES

The posters are nearly print ready and I have professionally designed dozens of screenprinted posters and haven't missed the deadline on a single one of them, so there are very little risks on my end. Additionally, printing, packing, and shipping will be handles by my printing partners, Nakatomi Inc.. Nakatomi has printed, packed, and shipped several thousand screenprints, so there really isn't much risk there either. Outside of a natural disaster or horrible accident, these posters are going to get to the backers on time.

TIMELINE

I'm planning on having all four posters fully print ready by the end of July 2022. Nakatomi has scheduled the posters to be printed and mailed by the end of October 2022.

THE POSTERS

Each poster will be an 18x24 inch (yes, that's a standard frame size!), 7 color (8 colors for the rainbow holofoil variants), hand printed screenprint. The rainbow holofoil variants will also be EXCLUSIVE to this Crowdfundr campaign.
