Alex the Great
Middle school can be wild—and Alex is determined to make the most of it! With his best friends, Jonathan and Nate, by his side, he’s navigating school, friendships, embarrassing moments, and the challenge of doing what’s right (even when it’s not the easiest choice). Whether he’s trying to impress the cool kids, surviving detention, or proving himself on the soccer field, Alex is learning that greatness isn’t about being popular—it’s about character, loyalty, and being true to yourself.
Zoe, Chloe, and Their Guardian Angel
Twin sisters Zoe and Chloe are stepping into middle school for the first time—and let’s just say, it’s not exactly what they expected. From awkward first impressions to surviving lunchroom drama and gym class disasters, the sisters learn that new beginnings come with challenges. With plenty of laughs and a little help from an unlikely guardian, they discover how to handle friendships, confidence, and the ups and downs of growing up.
Why We Wrote These Books
As a mother, I grew frustrated with the lack of wholesome comic books that reflect our values. My children love comic books, but I noticed that many popular books included content that didn't align with our values. Instead of just taking those books away, God gave me the idea—why not create our own?
So, together with my children, we started writing.
What makes these books extra special is that many of our characters and stories are inspired by real people and experiences. Some come from the people I had the pleasure of meeting as I grew up, while others are based on the friendships, teachers, and funny moments my children have encountered in their own lives. These books are filled with relatable characters, real-life humor, and the kinds of lessons that stay with you long after you turn the last page.
Meet the Authors
Shemeca – Founder of Cooper Legacy Books, writer, educator, and entrepreneur. I’m a wife to an amazing husband and a mom to two incredible children. I love teaching, empowering others, and creating stories that are both fun and meaningful.
I also homeschool my children, which has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. Getting to work alongside them to create these books has been an adventure of its own—from brainstorming ideas to laughing over funny scenes. It’s been such a joy to bring these stories to life together, and I hope they bring just as much joy to their readers!
Nathaniel – Co-author of Alex the Great. He’s all about football, basketball, and flying—if it soars through the air, he’s into it. He’s also a big fan of war and combat-themed video games and dreams of becoming a pilot one day. When it comes to comics, his favorites are his own (of course!) and Sonic the Hedgehog. Writing this book has been an exciting experience for him, and he hopes readers will have just as much fun reading it as he had creating it!
Zoe– Co-author of Zoe, Chloe, and Their Guardian Angel. She’s been flipping, tumbling, and balancing in gymnastics since she was two and brings that same energy and creativity into everything she does. She’s a natural entrepreneur, always coming up with new ideas and ways to make things fun. Whether she’s playing outside with her friends or diving into Roblox, she’s always in the middle of something exciting. As for the future? She’s got big plans—Doctor, Dentist, and Vet (why choose just one?). Writing this book has been such a fun adventure, and she hopes readers love the story just as much as she does!

When will I receive my book(s)?
Books will be mailed out between 60-90 days after the close of the crowdfunding period to allow time for final illustrations, formatting, and printing.
Can I choose which book I receive?
Yes! If your reward tier includes a book, you’ll have the option to choose between Alex the Great and Zoe, Chloe, and their Guardian Angel.
How will I receive my thank-you card?
For tiers $75 and above, you will receive a handwritten thank-you card from the authors, delivered with your book.
How do I get my name in the book?
If you back the $150 tier or higher, your name will be listed in the acknowledgments section of both books as a supporter.
How does the “Name a Character” reward work?
For the $500 tier, you’ll get to name a character in one of the books! We’ll work with you to ensure the name fits the style of the story. This is a limited opportunity, so grab it before it’s gone!
