Why another crowdfunding campaign?

I just wrapped up our Kickstarter campaign and want to make the single issues more available, particularly to those who can't back books via Kickstarter.

SERIES OVERVIEW

Issue one focuses on Tara Becker, a disillusioned RCMP officer who has to learn to trust Zoe and Anders - a pair of determined criminals receiving messages from the future. Working together, they try to stop a maniacal anarcho-terrorist from destroying Toronto, but discover he also has a device allowing him to receive messages from the future.

Issue two takes the team to Montreal in search of a child trafficker who was supposed to die in a recent fire. Upon arrival, Zoe is forced to deal with an old adversary, while Becker discovers just how far she'll go for her new beliefs. Ultimately, both are betrayed by their partner - the silent Anders - and caught by the authorities. 

In issue three, Becker now works for the Canadian intelligence community. Zoe languishes in a cell, while Anders tries to rationalize his betrayal. As secrets are revealed, Zoe escapes captivity and embarks on a mission to take down Keisha, while Becker is determined to stop her. 

ACAUSAL is an action-packed thriller full of flawed characters, surprise revelations, and – of course - time travel. It's full of morally ambiguous, flawed characters who are in difficult situations.

"It’s a crime comic with a solid injection of Sci-fi and as we follow RCMP Office Tara Becker heading headlong into trying to stop a bomb and stay on the right side of the law while doing it.  It’s a frantic beginning for her and us the reader but when the finer details are revealed of what she has found herself embroiled in, it quickly becomes apparent that the balance between crime & sci-fi is a plot direction that swings one way then the other. Hints of Minority Report or even Quantum Leap in the more sci-fi heavy moments means there’s a definite feeling of some challenging ideas in the mix but even with those elements it’s a book that’s got the creative team to pull off any direction things may take."
