A fast-paced level 20 adventure chock-full of combat, exploration, and roleplay!
The sun has disappeared, replaced by a burning ring of black fire that has plunged the world into eternal night and separated mortals from their Gods. Nightmare monsters advance from the world of Nocturnia and an exiled queen plots her violent and fiendish revenge.
Curse of the Extinguished Sun is a level 20 adventure compatible with 5th edition created by Zeke Gonzalez, the writer of the best-selling level 17-20 Pretty Little Liches campaign. In addition to the adventure itself, the PDF includes:
- Random encounter tables for a nightmare world
- Battle tactics for an epic three-stage boss fight
- Five new high-CR monsters
- New magic items and spells
- Six pre-generated level 20 character sheets
This adventure is designed to be playable either as a oneshot that allows you to experience the epic action and drama of high-level play or added to your campaign as an excursion into a realm of darkness to claim a powerful magic item. This adventure is friendly to new players, veterans, or anybody in-between.
The adventure is wholly written, but we are crowdfunding in the hopes of getting professional art, layout, and editing to make this adventure stand out as a great example of tier 4 play. If you’re interested, check out our free preview below!
This preview includes the opening encounter of the adventure and a small exploration-focused dungeon that sets the stakes. Keep in mind that this preview is not the final product: it has not been edited and features placeholder art or maps that may be replaced in the final product.

Writer & Producer
Zeke Gonzalez (he/him) has been writing TTRPG games and monsters for 6 years now, with previous credits including the Pretty Little Liches and Grasp of the Crooked Coven campaigns among other work on the DMs Guild. His fascination with horror and love of science come together to create beautiful and strange fantasy locations and ecosystems. Layout Designer
Anja Svare Productions has collaborated on a multitude of products in the TTRPG space, as well as producing their own roleplaying materials.
