A.K.A. Crescendo is invited back to NYC - this time to perform at the Lincoln Center of Performing Arts, directed by musical legend Deke Sharon!

To date the only contemporary a cappella group in Croatia, A.K.A. Crescendo counts six members and remains a steady presence in local cultural and musical spheres since their humble beginnings in 2013, all the while branching out and creating new opportunities for themselves and groups like them.

As organizers of an international a cappella festival in their home base, the city of Zadar in Croatia, A.K.A. Crescendo certainly appreciates the value of community outside the established circles. There is so much more experience and creativity to be found in collaboration and mutual exchange, especially if contemporary a cappella as a genre is still as niche and underrepresented as it currently is in Croatia.

Meeting and working with individuals and groups who have different experiences but the same love and appreciation for the craft is a highlight any time and any way it happens, and sorely missed otherwise, which is why A.K.A. Crescendo is honored to be invited back to New York City by the a cappella community.

Successes none-withstanding, the group is still financed solely through performance fees, donations and the members’ personal savings. While that covers some of the group’s expenses, traveling from Croatia and staying in NYC is a huge financial undertaking.

Dobro poznata zadarska a cappella skupina A.K.A. Crescendo ponovno je pozvana nastupati na prestižnom događaju Total Vocal u New Yorku, ovaj put u Lincoln Centru za izvedbene umjetnosti.

Unatoč uspjesima, grupa se i dalje financira isključivo putem naknada za nastupe, donacija i osobnim financijama članova.
Iako to pokriva dio troškova grupe svaka financijska podrška i donacija za naše putovanje u NYC bila bi od velike pomoći te se unaprijed zahvljujemo!
