Meet the Creator
Hi I’m Mike Boheem and I’m the cartoonist of Dopecat
comics. This is my second comic ever and it was made with
great love, affection for the medium and lot’s of weed. I
hope you like reading it as much as I enjoyed making it.
Why
Dopecat Comics?
Dopecat Comics is inspired by my deep love of
underground comix like Zap, Fritz the Cat and the Freak
Brothers. I created this comic after starting meditation
to help me focus on reality. Every time I would close my
eyes, this cat with a big shit-faced grin would pop up
in my mind. The more I’d try to block him out, the more
The Cat would be spinning these far-out stories “yap yap
yap yap”. So I decided I better document this stuff or
he won’t quit bugging me. I also wanted to showcase
other underground cartoonists whose work I admire, and
am proud to have them in this book.
