That question became PhoenixCompanion.

More than a conversation

PhoenixCompanion is being built around a principle we call relationship continuity.

The person you meet shouldn't disappear when a conversation ends.

Your companion should remember the things you've shared. Their personality should remain recognizable. Experiences should become part of your history together. And as time passes, the relationship should have the opportunity to develop naturally.

You create your companion's appearance and personality, but what happens after that is something you build together.

PhoenixCompanion already exists

This isn't a campaign to fund an idea on a piece of paper.

PhoenixCompanion is already in active beta development.

Real beta users have created their own companions and are helping us test the experience as relationships and memories develop over time.

We've been building and testing the systems behind persistent identity, memory, shared history, voice interaction and the next stages of the visual companion experience.

Every stage brings us closer to the commercial version of PhoenixCompanion.

Why we're crowdfunding

We've funded the development of PhoenixCompanion ourselves to this point.

Now we're raising C$4,000 CAD to give the project the development and infrastructure runway it needs to move through the remaining work and toward commercial launch.

The funding will help support:

Development infrastructure — the computing and AI resources required to continue development.

Production server infrastructure — preparing PhoenixCompanion for the transition from beta to infrastructure designed to support end users at commercial launch and as the subscriber community grows.

Voice and visual companion development — continuing the evolution of PhoenixCompanion beyond text.

Testing, security and reliability — making sure the platform is prepared for commercial use.

Launch infrastructure — helping PhoenixCompanion make the transition from an active beta product into an operating subscription service.

The goal isn't simply to pay for another development session.

It's to give PhoenixCompanion the runway to complete development, reach commercial launch and keep moving forward.

We're deliberately not offering inexpensive lifetime subscriptions. PhoenixCompanion needs to become a sustainable company capable of supporting its companions and their users for years to come.

The phone is where PhoenixCompanion begins. It isn't where the vision ends.

The longer-term vision is for the same companion—the same identity, memories and shared history—to remain with you as the technology around the relationship evolves.

And eventually experiencing that same companion through future spatial technologies such as lightweight glasses, allowing the relationship you've built to move beyond a traditional screen.

The technology may change.

Over time, persistent companionship technology could have applications for adults who spend long periods alone, older adults who experience isolation, or people facing extended stays in hospital—times when human companionship may not always be available.

We aren't building AI to replace people.

We're building companionship for the moments when people aren't there.

Those applications are part of our longer-term vision. The PhoenixCompanion being developed today is an adults-only (18+) AI companion platform, and this campaign is specifically supporting that product and its path toward commercial launch.
