The Recluse Group is an independent production company based in Ohio that is developing a short film project titled, anathema. We are opening the project up for crowdfunding in order to retain creative control over the story, screenplay, casting, production, and final cut.

anathema is the story of a young couple with a deep connection who detach from the outside world as they navigate differing forms of severe mental illness. Currently cast are Antonio Alejandro (Babies, Superfakes), and Ryan Dorsey (Palm Royale, Ray Donovan). The female co-lead search is underway. The story and screenplay were written by Jerome Dillon (Nine Inch Nails, composer for film / television since his departure). He will direct, and compose the original score.

If the target for the total budget is met, the names of all crowdfunding supporters will appear in the end credits of the film, and given behind-the-scenes access to pre-production, filming, and post-production. This will be via private photos, and videos that will not be shared on social media platforms: table reads, production of the score, staging / mixing, special effects, etc. Also, in the event of a premiere or private screening not open to the public, ten donors / contributors, will be chosen at random and sent two passes each, to attend with a guest.
