DIESEL — An Irish post apocalyptic web series.
Subheat/Subtitle
Diesel is the first post-apocalyptic roadtrip web series. Set against the dramatic Irish landscape, it’s a fight for survival on the open road, where blood, grit, zombies, and the broken pieces of humanity are all that remain.

Log-line
A post-apocalyptic blend of horror and road-thriller, where one man battles the dead, the living, and his own fear as he drives toward the sea—chasing a ship that might be his only way out.
Synopsis
Alex was an ordinary man when the world collapsed. He survived the first hours by locking himself inside his home, watching from the window as power died, the internet vanished, and neighbors either perished or turned into the dead. But isolation can’t last forever. With supplies gone, Alex is forced onto the road.
His destination: the port, where whispers of a ship promise escape. His obstacles: highways choked with abandoned cars, the hungry dead, and survivors who are just as lethal.
This isn’t the tale of a hero—it’s the brutal journey of one man armed with only a car, fuel, a hurl, and a map. A road story carved in blood, fear, and the desperate hope of finding a place where life still exists.

What Makes the Project Unique?
Diesel is the first independent web series to fuse post-apocalypse, zombie horror, and the road movie into one. Here, the road and the car aren’t just settings—they’re metaphors for survival, transformation, and the cost of staying human.
Originally conceived as a feature film, the project evolved into a web series, embracing the flexibility and immediacy of modern storytelling.
What sets “Diesel” apart is its focus: not formulaic action, but raw psychological drama. It’s a story that pulls viewers inside the journey, making every mile of fear, hope, and survival feel like their own.

Development Status
A fundraising campaign is underway to finance the first season of Diesel—covering production through post. The season will feature six 15-minute episodes, premiering on YouTube in late November 2025, with new episodes released weekly.
The script is complete, casting is finished, and actors are confirmed. Filming will take place across Ireland, using abandoned roads, empty coastlines, forest trails, and stark urban districts. Each location is chosen to mirror the protagonist’s fractured state of mind and to immerse viewers in a world stripped bare by catastrophe.

Production Timeline
Filming is scheduled for October–November 2025, immediately after the close of the campaign. Locations across Ireland have been scouted for their visual and atmospheric potential—abandoned roads, stark coastlines, forest trails, and desolate urban districts—chosen not just for authenticity but to reinforce the narrative tone and mirror the protagonist’s inner descent.
Post-production will be organized with speed and efficiency as priorities. Editing, sound design, VFX, and color grading will be structured into a rolling pipeline, allowing the earliest episodes to be completed and released while later ones are still in post. This ensures that the audience will not have to wait long: the premiere is scheduled for late November to early December 2025 on the official YouTube channel, with new episodes released weekly thereafter.
This overlapping structure—fundraising, pre-production, filming, and rolling post-production—maximizes efficiency, keeps the project on schedule, and demonstrates to supporters that Diesel is strategically designed to reach its audience on time.

Managing Risks
We are fully prepared to bring Diesel to completion on time. The script is finalized, most locations are secured, and cast rehearsals are underway. Our team is positioned to move into production immediately after the fundraising campaign closes.
The primary challenge is weather: filming in Ireland during October means rain and high winds are likely. To mitigate this, we’ve built flexibility into the shooting schedule, allowing scenes to be shifted between indoor and outdoor locations as needed. Contingency days are included in the plan to absorb delays without pushing back the overall timeline.
Far from being a drawback, the unpredictable Irish climate enhances the project. Stormy skies, wet roads, and moody coastal light all contribute to the raw, atmospheric tone that defines Diesel, turning a potential risk into a creative advantage.
