Black Women in Film Grant and Fellowship Program

At Black Women in Film, we are committed to amplifying the voices of Black women in the film industry, empowering them to create, direct, produce, and tell their stories. We aim to disrupt the industry's existing power structures by offering financial support, mentorship, and professional development opportunities. Our mission is to foster a thriving community of filmmakers who bring diverse, authentic perspectives to the screen.

Our Grant and Fellowship Program is designed to provide funding for Black women filmmakers who are breaking barriers in the industry as their "Second Act" career millennials.  We believe in the transformative power of film and the importance of ensuring that Black women have access to resources that enable them to thrive in their craft.

What We Offer:

• Grant Funding: We provide grants to support the production of independent films, short films, documentaries, and other creative projects that center the stories and experiences of Black women.

• Fellowship Program: Our fellowship offers mentorship, professional development, and industry connections, providing recipients with the tools and opportunities they need to grow as filmmakers and artists who are considered the "Second Act"  career millennials.

$1,000: Executive Kin Sponsor
