Earlier this year, I was diagnosed with a life-altering disease. As a young man with dreams and ambitions, it took me back. From that...I wrote If A Tree Falls, a drama short film about regrets, loss, trauma and death. 

I knew immediately that this story was going to be a more personal one than some of my student films prior. This was something incredibly emotional from a dark time in my life. 

If a Tree Falls is a triptych style story (a story based on medieval art of three distinct pictures that, when opened up fully, display one larger piece underneath) about an old man who is emotionally distant from his gay son who recounts and relives the joys and sorrows from his past after he encounters ghosts in the woods. 

We are dealing with a lot of different topics that I have personally dealt with, as both a gay man and someone living with my condition. We are looking to create a truly cinematic experience with the best camera, lenses, lights, and equipment possible to ensure a truly professional level quality to this project. 

With your donation, we can ensure that this project gets the adequate funding required to cover both production costs and festival promotions and post production. Each festival we apply to has a fee attached. The more we get, the larger exposure this story can have and the better it can do in the festival circuit.

- Tier 1 - $10 - you will get a special thanks added to the credits of the film + a copy of the script + raffle entry for props in the film

-Tier 2 - $20 - you will get a digital version of the final film

-Tier 3 - $50 - physical copy of the film (DVD) + poster

-Tier 5 - $250 - invitation to the cast/crew premiere along with Director/Writer and cast Q&A at a rented theater (date TBD)

-Tier 7 - $1000 - invitation to the festival circuit of all accepted premieres (travel/housing not provided) + 1000 homemade chocolate chip cookies
