I originally conceived this as a backup story for my upcoming and hopefully ongoing series, Robot Tod.
In October 2023 I posted 32 daily panels of SEPT “n” EMBER.
After rethinking how I wanted to approach publishing ROBOT TOD and the page count of the issues I reformatted SEPT “n” EMBER as a companion piece for the comic, adding new art and text.
The story directly ties in to parts 1, 2, and 3 of the Robot Tod series and is told in the voice of the three different characters: Sept and Ember and the off-camera Furn Fells reading from her helpful guide book to surviving the many dangers in this world.
My hope is that this little book will be a fun ease into the series Robot Tod ( along with a soon to embarked on part 0), which will hopefully start coming out as issues soon.
If you have read The Wrenchies and IT WILL ALL HURT, you may notice that this story takes place in the same slightly psychedelic and strange fantasy world.
BUT you don’t NEED to have read them to enjoy this short and poetic 32-page comic book adventure.
SEPT “n” EMBER will be 5” x 7”, 32 pages (that’s including the cover) on 80# paper, printed at Brown printing in Portland, Oregon.
