About the Show

Inn Between is a fantasy-adventure fiction podcast that focuses on found family, friendship, and the important moments between adventures that help us grow. We are an entirely independent podcast making art that matters. We're gearing up for our fifth season, and we need your help!

About This Season

This season we join a new party of adventurers on a brand new quest, featuring the villain of season four that everyone loves to hate, Maximillian “The Brigand” Allerus, played by returning actor Malcolm Jay!

If previous seasons have been about self-determination, about becoming who you want to be, about changing course for the better, then this season is about something much harder: redemption. Allow me to introduce you to….The Lowlifes.

Unlike the Gang and the Crew, the Lowlifes don’t come from a place of good intentions or even competence. Their motives aren’t great, their skills variable, their weaknesses many, but one thing is for sure: friendship and found family are coming for them.

Budget Breakdown

We are raising $5000 to fund our fifth season. Here’s our budget breakdown:

$2190 will go to paying our cast. Our goal is to pay our five main characters and seven secondary characters a fair rate for their work. Since we record live over video chat, we pay for time rather than by line. With the understanding that each episode takes about an hour to record, we pay our actors $30 per episode.

$1000 will go to supplementing the pay of our incredible audio wizard Katherine Ayers. Although Katherine is paid through our Patreon, we’d really like to give her a bonus to bring her income from the show to a decent industry standard.

$500 will go to paying me, Hannah Wright, for showrunning, directing, and writing the show.

$400 will go to paying Ria, our tireless transcriber, for the crucial accessibility work ey do.

$250 will go to our assistant director, who has so far refused to take a paycheck, a decent wage for all the time he puts into the show!

$250 will go to paying our artists, Gabrielle Buxman and Han Trenkle, for their excellent artwork.

$130 will go to hiring a couple of consultants for sensitivity reading and special direction.

The remaining $280 will contribute to various fees, taxes, hosting, data storage charges, and all the other little things that keep Inn Between running.

We are so excited to be offering a wide range of perks for everyone who takes the time to support our fifth season. Everyone who contributes to the campaign will have the opportunity to hear episodes early! ALL SEASON LONG! That's right, as soon as the episodes are finalized, they will be tucked gently into a folder for your listening enjoyment, a whole week before anyone else hears them!

Want to see the Gang and the Crew in an entirely different situation than in the show? Say, perhaps, an alternate universe? Our novellas, The Heist and The Truth, give alternate stories of found family, friendship, Jazz Age heists and alien abductions, and they can both be yours for $15!

You could also obtain the very wittily named Inn Be-zine, a tiny booklet with a puzzle, a dungeon map, and a recipe for Tessa's famous Apple-Rhubarb pie! $50 contributors will even get a physical copy of the Inn Be-zine with notes and doodles from Tessa herself!

In the mood for some adventure? "A Friend Inn Need" is a one-shot sidequest written by Hannah, where your very own party of adventurers could encounter the Inn and run an errand for Tessa. Probably no big deal, nothing too dangerous. What could go wrong!

We love our stickers, and in addition to a gorgeous vinyl sticker portraying our season five logo, we are very excited for our new design from Han Trenkle, "You May Change Again!"

Our most intrepid of heroes (who contribute $500 to the campaign) will be invited to a one-shot game of Dungeons & Dragons, with Hannah as your dungeon master! How fun is that!
