When Trace wakes up in VAL-U-BURGER™ they have no idea how they got there and no memory of who they are. The rest of the employees seem pretty blasé about the whole thing. Turns out the same thing happened to them too…

Meat4Burgers is a new comic from artist, Becca Kubrick and writer, Christof Bogacs. The book is a horrific workplace comedy that follows newcomer Trace (they/ them); as they wake up in a mysterious fast food restaurant with nothing but a name tag and a job to do.
We are raising money to fund a special print run of Meat4Burgers issue #1 (reprint) and issue #2 (first print run!) and to allow us to make even more M4B! Both issue 1 and 2 are 100% done but we need your help to fund this round printing.

Physical issues of the comic will be available for pick up from Thought Bubble 2022 (at table 86A in the Comixology hall!) or can be shipped to anywhere in the UK or US. For those not in the US or UK we have a special digital tier that includes 2 exclusive digital pin-ups. The comic will also be available from retailers who ship internationally at a later date.
Combined, Meat4Burgers #1 & #2 come in at 40 black and white pages. Issues 1 & 2 are the start of what we plan to be a horrific epic following the motley teens that make up the VAL-U-CREW™.

Becca Kubrick (Art)
Becca Kubrick
is a writer, cartoonist and cryptid, who has been spotted in
Manchester, UK . They have a passion for all things earnest, dumb and
spooky with a soft spot for teen dramas from the early 2000s. They are
the creator behind the short animated film Incoming Transmissions and
recently crowd funded the one-shot comic Coby, Alone, which
raised ten times its initial funding goal!
Christof Bogacs (He/Him, Writer)
Christof Bogacs is a comics writer from Sydney, Australia. He delights in telling stories that feature optimism, heart and as many bad jokes as he can cram in. He is the author behind Earth to Chris Cleevy, currently in development at HarperCollins. He is also the co-creator of VOLUME, an upcoming YA mini-series from Scout Comics, and Under Kingdom, a YA graphic due out from Dark Horse in 2023. His work has been featured in anthologies from Image, Gestalt Comics, Blueprint Comics and A Wave Blue World.
Why this project?
After working together on several pitches, we were keen to actually finish something. To create something that was wholly ours. No editors, no publishers, no permission, just two idiots jamming.
Unfortunately, no publishers also means no money - hence why we are coming to you! M4B has very quickly become a fun and therapeutic exercise. What we thought would just be a one shot quickly spiralled into something much larger, and we plan to keep making the book until we finish telling the story we set out to tell or die (whichever comes first).
Crowdfunding the book is a way for us to cover the cost of a small print run. Any extra money raised will go toward production costs of future issues. This empowers us to continue making M4B and means the whole project is more financially sustainable.
Costs
As you may have noticed, the goal for this campaign is super low. The £250 will cover the cost of printing, some envelopes and maybe even some burgers. It is the absolute minimum we need to get this bad boy printed. Above all we want to get our book son into the world and are very confident we can do that.
*All photos of physical comics are from the first print run of issue one; final products are being riso printed so will vary (but still look great).
*Physical rewards will be sent in cardboard backed envelopes. We are not responsible for any lost/ damaged items or customs fees, however, we've never had issues with this in the past!
