In sacred geometry, the number one is represented by the circle. The only shape with no beginning and no end.

We believe that true partnership is not two halves becoming whole, but two complete beings, two whole circles, who come together to become something way more special than either could be alone.

And just as Burning Man is built on ten principles, we believe every relationship is held together by its own set of principles that form the foundation of a shared life. And then we asked ourselves - what are ours? We wanted to build something real, something you could see, touch, and interact with, that represented what partnership means to us. 

ONE is an interactive art installation that we are creating for Burning Man 2027 - where we will also be getting married (please come!)

At its center is an inner circle, a portal. A twelve-foot arch of sacred geometry that you can walk through as a physical ritual of transition. On each side of this portal are two merging mandalas representing our whole unique selves coming together to create something even more beautiful. For us, these elements symbolize who we were AND who we are becoming.

Around it stands a perimeter, a ring of ten pillars, each representing one of the foundational principles of our relationship. This container also symbolizes our community (you guys!). 

Each of these pillars have unique interactions that initiate lighting sequences and sound from the central structure when they are touched, representing how each member of our community has unique ways they love and support our relationship.

A partnership does not exist in isolation. It is held, shaped, and sustained by the people who surround and support it.  

And while this is beautiful on its own, there is a special moment we call the Full Bloom. A full scale display of light and sound that the installation can only produce one way: when our community gathers together, symbolically surrounding and supporting the partnership, and all ten pillars are touched at the exact same moment.

Just like a partnership can only reach its highest potential when it is fully held by its community, ONE can only be experienced in its full glory through communal effort - literally.

This is a highly complex build involving numerous hardware, software, and audio components, as well as traditional building materials. Every dollar donated to ONE will be used to fund it's creation, transport, build, and storage.
