“Baby Mama Nada” is an Award-Winning independent drama created by Brian K. Burns of BACKA Media Group, based in Houston, TX. The film follows a troubled mother and her children. The mom, DeeDee (Tyana Rawls), who once partied - and still sometimes does - like it was still 1999. Now she has three young children, Aisha (Olivia Génesis), Jon Jon (KJ Fisher), and Popo (Izzy McGee), who are suffering from her neglect. The film explores her downward spiral and the harsh reality that “the wolves are out there” threatening to devour her and harm her family, and asks: Will she turn her life around in time to save them?

We are now working to produce a 6-episode series to continue the unresolved story in the film - filled with drama, moments of laughter, and, at its center, a core of hope and perseverance.

We are building together to make this more than just entertainment — we are working to create a cinematic movement powered by young voices, creative storytelling to produce excellent independent film, with a message millions can learn from. 

We have already completely filmed one NEW episode, and are prepared to continue the work. We are here, working with Crowdfundr to raise a portion of funds needed to continue filming, and to build a community around this exciting project.
