About The Project:

This documentary film project was selected among 10 promising documentary projects out of a total of 74 documentaries. It is a great recognition of the work and an encouragement
Why this documentary film?
This documentary seeks to educate the world about the reality of young children who stutter in communities in developing nations where stuttering is under-served.
This documentary will be the first of its kind to show the reality of
people who stutter in communities in developing nations.
I made
this documentary film because I believed in the weight it carried to
create awareness.
This documentary: Why me?
I
am Dieudonne Nsabimana, Executive Producer: The inspiration for this
documentary comes from my personal life experiences:
When I was a
young child, I was victimized because of my stuttering. My childhood
with a stutter was tears, harassment, and abuse.
In fact, what sets me apart is a personal connection to the subject matter.

How will this documentary make a difference?
The idea behind this documentary project is to help society better understand stuttering, in order to reduce stigma.
My biggest dream for this documentary is to have as many people as possible see and hear these stories and be compelled by them to act.
I believe that more awareness can and will make a positive difference in the lives of those that stutter, especially young children.

THE TITLE
The film's title "BEYOND IMAGINATION" was inspired by the line" The life of a person who stutters can often be a struggle. However, the life of a young child who stutters in developing countries is a struggle beyond imagination.
CONTENT
This documentary will investigate the issues affecting young children who stutter, and interview them, people who stutter, family members, health professionals and policymakers.
