The Wait

This year marks the 4th year since i graduated from university and I’m still yet to find a job.I graduated on the 5th of October 2019 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture Economics and Agribusiness Management. Ive always been intentional with my life and believed in hard work regardless of my circumstances. I’ve always put my best foot forward when it came to my academics.But life after graduation hasn’t been smooth sailing. Four years post graduation the is still no progression in my life, I’m feeling stagnant, i have no career (job), no financial freedom and still live with my retired mom.

I think its only natural (human nature) that you begin to question a lot of things when the universe rejects you and is not responding positively to you frequency. I began to question myself as an individual, questioning my choices, questioning my skill set and abilities. The rejection made me doubt my self worth and the value i bring. I began thinking i wasn’t worthy and deserving of anything good.

I had worked so hard to get to where i was but just this one thing (a job) wasn’t coming through for me and still isn’t.

My mental health has been a struggle but I’m glad i am at a better mental space at the moment. The wait for my breakthrough has required me to have a great deal of heart (courage), mind and absolute submission to the process. Trusting and fully submitting to the waiting process has come with a lot of blood,sweat and tears. But my faith and belief that everything works out in my favor keeps me going. I trust that even when I’ve showed up as the best version of myself and still not getting positive feedback, perhaps it isn’t yet time.

Ive learnt to pivot a lot from rejection by starting small businesses such as my small farm but that never lasted because shortly after i got an accident and had to undergo surgery. Ive always had a passion for food and i love cooking and making people happy. I also had a food business at varsity as part of my entrepreneurship project which was quite a success. Ive always planned to start my small food business and have a Youtube channel after i had saved up money from the job i would have acquired after graduation if the odds were in my favor. That hasn’t materialized because of the lack of funds but i haven’t been lazing around, I’ve been  reading, researching and writing recipes that I’m hoping to share on my Youtube channel this year fingers crossed.

I would like to plead with anyone thats willing and able to help me with my dream to please come through for me, it would really mean the world and would change my life immensely.

I will always fight for my life even if its the last thing i do. I will never be a unemployed graduate statistic, i refuse, and this is still me fighting and you will be helping me fight for my life
