Imagine emerging from a dust storm in deep playa during an ambling, high-noon bike ride to find yourself exactly...nowhere. But that nowhere has a hum. And that hum is all around you. Your deductive powers kick into high gear: there should be no insects on the playa. Are the locusts back? What the heck is going on?? As the dust settles, a small figure begins to take shape. Then, another emerges. And another. Their heads are spinning (and so is yours). They are humming.

Who We Are

From the artists who brought you  Awakening ,  Tree of Transformation , and  Tree of Impermanence , and Seesaw Wave Machine, and Therolin, our long-awaited 2022 Burning Man  project is a new type of interactive experience: Welcome Tremolo.

Project Summary
Tremolo is a revolutionary idea for a new type of large scale, immersive experience.  By planting up to 50 wooden mills, the Tremelo will convert the power of the wind into a moving, humming experience. In the center, you'll be surrounded by a field of mills bring together industry and raw playa with a touch of wild.

Why We Need Your Support

This year the artist/engineers are creating this out of love and without receiving an official art grant, so your help is needed more than ever. Your donation, small or large, will help to make this long-awaited project a reality. We are seeking funds for materials (including anchors and the windmills themselves) as well as funds to support our long trek to transport this beauty out to the playa from Colorado.

Funding and Rewards:
Please consider making a donation to our project to help defray the cost of it's creation. Money is needed for materials, time, and transportation to and from Burning Man. Because this piece will have up to 50 different windmills and is made of steel it will need to travel on a semi. We are grateful for the ongoing support of our community. 

Any Donor contributing more than $10 will receive a sticker with the project image and a thank you postcard mailed from the Black Rock City post office (dust included).
