The Toronto International Tap Dance Festival (TITDF) began in 2017, with the plan to produce on a bi-annual basis. With funding falling short in 2019, we decided to postpone our plans one year, and then boom, COVID hit. 

The pandemic has been especially hard on the arts, but we have witnessed incredible resilience in our community. We were fortunate to be able to continue producing other projects, but decided to postpone the return of the festival until we were able to present the work fully in person, when it was safe to do so.

Set for August 19-21, the 2022 Toronto International Tap Dance Festival is produced by Toffan Rhythm Projects in partnership with Harbourfront Centre. We're thrilled and honoured to be able to share the event! Throughout the past 3 years, we were able to continue the work towards this moment, fundraising through multiple applications for many arts councils, foundations, and building relationships. With the event quickly approaching, we're now in our final push to reach our funding goals! 

The support we've received thus far has allowed us to present our dream festival, which includes welcoming international leading artists, commissioning new Canadian work, and offering a residency program, workshops, masterclasses, panel discussions and nightly jams - all with live music, exploring and connecting multiple perspectives of culture, background, generation, and aesthetic. 

This fundraising platform is not only to help us reach our goals for this year's event to be successful, but also to support the continuum of our values - more accessibility in the future through more free programming, and the opportunity to elevate the diverse voices of our homegrown excellence in tap dance, alongside other global leaders in our scene.
