Ever since age twelve, I dreamed about bringing a story to life on the big screen. I’m Nicholas J. Najera, and I’m eighteen now, entering college, and still dedicated to chasing that dream—even when it feels impossible sometimes. Over the past six years, I spent hundreds of late nights and early mornings crafting this film, sometimes at the expense of sleep and even schoolwork. I brainstormed fifty times and wrote twelve different screenplays until I finally completed the version you’re reading about now. Every step, I acted out of love, passion, and unstoppable determination—even when no one believed in me, not even my family.​

There were lots of days when I thought about quitting. I felt ignored, frustrated, and honestly, kind of alone. But I refused to give up. I worked through doubt and depression just to keep moving toward my dream. The original story was about a teenage boy who learns not to turn down chances—even opportunities that seem small. Sometimes, if you let old disappointments hold you back, you could miss out on the best moments in life.​

Then, one day, I heard Alec Benjamin’s song “Must Have Been The Wind” and everything changed. That song inspired my new story—a screenplay built on hope, second chances, and the belief that it’s never too late to try again. After years of brainstorming and rewriting, I now have a completed feature film script. All I want is to see this story come to life, to show teens like me that it’s okay to make mistakes and it’s important to keep pushing for your dreams.
