Hello there!

My name is Pieta. I'm a composer, teacher, and all around musician. This year I am excited to be selected to be the New Zealand Delegate to the ISCM World Days New Music Festival/Conference to represent my country. The cost of travel at the moment is significant and this trip is fairly last minute! Any help towards to my trip would be greatly appreciated and gracefully received.

I could write a piece of music for you in return!

By helping me get to Europe you will be helping me get to the next stage of my career. I haven't been to Europe since I was 17 due to the cost and never quite having enough to go. I planned to travel in 2020... and then life happened.

Like John Lennon said "life is what happens while you are busy making other plans".

This is what happened with my composition career! Finally I'm back on track!!! I was elected the president of the Composers Association of New Zealand last year and am studying towards a degree in Sound Design through the University of Canterbury while teaching full time at secondary schools and running a private teaching studio. 

Help me level up by attending this exciting event on the international composing calendar! You can check out my music on my website www.pietahextall.co.nz My favourite work is He Ngakau Aroha. It is about empathy & compassion, which is what the world needs most at the moment. The last movement is a waiata (song) about rebuilding a people focused future. Enjoy the tunes!
